@Augusto Pinochet I forget what this was even so I had to go back and wach it,but still it's pretty good tbh to me anyways, someone had put alot of money and time into this PC and it's still kinda hard in believing that this was thrown away anyways

@Augusto Pinochet Let me geuss, you have some form of ryzen cpu dont you, because the *only* people who i know in the tech community that say that are the people who upgrade every few years, and beauty is in the eye of the beholder so yeah it can only play high end games at medium settings or low at 60 fps but its perfectly fine for video usage or inde games,or any form of game that isnt aaa release.

And not only so it was only top of the line components. My only find this year 2022 was a pentium g4650 8gb of ram ddr 4and a gtx 750ti 2gb and a kioxia ssd 256gb with a kolink 500w power suply. The case was prety busted but i had a sweet nzxt phantom from 2006 at my home it only cost changing the case once done that i dicided to keep it now i have 3 pcs.

It's honestly sad that people actually throw away systems like this rather than sell them, yeah the spec maybe aged a bit but it will still hold up to modern games reasonably well, some people would probably still love to have a PC like that (gotta think some people still use Core2Duo and Quads). Also, a proper 80+ 1000W PSU is generally expensive, even secondhand. If you'd have not saved it all those good working parts would be under a crusher somewhere.

Honestly an i5 3rd gen just needs a solid air cooler.. I use a deepcool Gammax 400 with a second puller fan on the back, keeps my CPU at 40c under load.

Depends on where you are located... Where I am (central australia) as parts the psu would fetch around $150AUD, the gpu $90-$120AUD (due to it being a high end varient), motherboard with the cpu/cooler/ram as a bundle, would guess roughly $280-$350AUD. As a complete system with HDD/SSD and in a case with proper panels on it they could try sell it for around $800/$1,200AUD. Prices for tech here is inflated due to there not being a lot of it here... Americans I speak to on discord are kinda gobsmacked about the prices here but part scarcity and people being greedy assholes leads to this shit. You can get some good scores as parts/punt on unknown systems but they are far and few between. Prices vary from country to country.
