Oh, it is an actual, real thing alright. Right now, I live near the sea, but a couple years back I lived in the capital of my country. The first two terminals of Jakarta airport really has to be torn down and rebuilt because it gets to the point where it's too small. Every holiday there'd be hundreds of people in the main hall and it'd be so packed you have difficulty moving around. I also really hate the way they built the third terminal, they construct the departure hall in the way that it's a hassle to actually go around. It's just really long and horizontal, with how the airlines sometimes go "uh sorry move to this gate instead", getting from one boarding gate to the other is a bit frustrating. It's also always hot like the aircon never circulates properly throughout the whole building. Singapore airport is the best.

Critical Role, The Veronica Mars movie, Yooka Laylee (whoops), Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night (one of my favorite games in years), and UNDERTALE. All wildly successful, but not *industry changing* successful, which the exception of Undertale, but for a reason that isn't related to their point. The anime industry is so financially top-heavy in regards to license holders that no Kickstarter has a chance to break in because if they want to make bank, they need to appeal to people who only know the big animes, but the amount of money they'd make isn't going to get them anywhere besides maybe a crappy funding of a completely unknown one that all other studios passed up on. But if they said that outright they wouldn't make enough money for even that, so very clearly, the moment anyone even slightly looks into it, this is a scam and nothing more.
