Meilyne is correct about hunted meat. A lot of small details matter with hunting. I grew up in a hunting family in Canada. My uncle only hunts with a bow because the animal won’t get startled like they do with a gun. When people hunt with a gun the adrenaline from the animal effects the quality of the meat. Also when shooting with a gun part of the meat can’t be used because of the bullet. My uncle tries to hunt as humanly as possible and we use the entire animal in some way, zero waste. One moose can feed our family for like 2-4 years depending on the size.

@@hirooe well you don’t eat it every day. Who would want to eat the same meat every day? When you grow up in a hunting family there’s more than one animal you eat. Elk, deer, bear, mountain goat. I’ve ate lots of different meats. I’d say we eat it maybe 2 times a week? I also grew up fishing so lots of fish, clams, and other meats. My uncle owns two giant specialized freezers. Moose can weights a lot 600 kg for a big one of meat is a lot! My uncle would give it to my grandma and I. Also my grandpa and his step grandma.

Brazilian here! If I'm not mistaken, Meilyne's story sound a little like the one where a teen killed a boy and used a hacksaw to cut the body to try and hide it, the reason for it was because the killer wanted the other guy's account on an MMO (probably Ragnarok online or Gunbound if I'm not mistaken). This sort of thing is definetly not common hahahah, although Brazil is a violent place because of muggings, this one was just a freaky story that got very famous in the mid 2000's and was used a lot on sensationalist TV programs to try and demonize videogames with a satanic panic kind of vibe

Fellow Brazilian here meu irmão, it’s sad to see that we still get news reports that stigmatises videogames to seem like the cause of violent behaviour in teens and young adults… I remember a case we had here a couple of years back between a couple of teens that met though an online game (League or Freefire I think) and one of them turned out to have a mental illness and ended killing the other one… Media instantly blamed videogames for the behaviour and at least where I lived, there was a major backlash that hit every person my age that played any kind of videogame

*Warning: graphic content below* As a professional Brazillian, the story about the PS4 could be true. In 2007 there was a case here in Brazil of two kids - a 16 year old and a 12 year old - who were fighting about massively popular game around here at the time, named Tibia. Tibia was a brutal MMORPG, if you died you'd often lose a lot of xp (even levels), and a lot of your inventory, so progress was really hard. As I understand, the younger kid owed the older one a bit of money, about 20k in-game currency, so the older kid just decided to murder and dismember the 12yo body and tried to leave it in the kid's house attic. That was the story the 16yo told the police, but there is suspicion of sexual abuse as the actual motive for the crime.
@wisefelipe3 жыл бұрын
Oh man, as an ex-tibia player from BrazilI believe you. A guy from my school and I once left our characters online afk hitting each other at night to train up skills, somehow though he ended up dying, probably someone killed him when were away but for some reason didn't kill me. He didn't believe that though and accused me of killing him and wanted me to pay him back for the stuff he lost. It got pretty serious for a while, thankfully he was actually one of the nicest kids around so it never got violent, still I had to eventually pay him back for school life to return to normal. Not that I blame him though, I would probably have done the same, and I kinda deserved it considering I did lie as I was actually the one who killed him. It's been like 20 years and this is the first time I am admitting to it.

@@DEGONDVR Learning from the Trash Taste discussion, I'm not going to bother to refute or debate your stance on taste. Because maybe to YOU it may actually taste the same, so trying to convince you otherwise is rather pointless. However if you look up any website that talks about the whole dark vs white debate, most (if not all) say that dark meat is more flavourful. Which was the entire crux of the "bone vs boneless" debate, until it devolved to which was easier to eat and therefore superior. Edit: also never really thought the skin would taste different depending on the part of the chicken, always thought it was pretty uniform all around
