It's heartbreaking that as we watch this, children are being emotionally, physically, and sexually abused. There are women that are being murdered and there is nothing we can do...this very moment. 😭

I have always said that if we constantly knew what was happening to every abused child or adult in the world, we could never sleep at night. I can’t imagine how heartbroken God must be seeing everything as He does 😓

I watched the drama series Appropriate Adult about Janet Leach, Dominic West plays Fred West to a T, excellent drama about the horrors of Cromwell Street. I should say it amazes me how they got away with it, but it doesn't because it's always the social services who lack competence and fail these poor children. Girls lives could have been saved had they looked into this family a bit closer.

Fred had such low intelligence, he was deemed to be vulnerable and required a ‘reasonable adult’ with him whilst being interviewed by the police, as a child would. Rose was the ‘mastermind’. No doubt.

There is a special place in hell for these evil freaks. Well done to WPC Hazel Savage at the time who requested her department for the patio to be dug up. It is important to note that she did interview Rina Costello 28 years prior about Fred's controlling and violent behaviour, so she already knew what a creep he was even back in 1966. And about Fred's head injury following the road collision with the young woman on the bike when he was a teenager, plenty of people have suffered head trauma where the frontal lobes are, and they haven't all become psychopathic killers. So there is no excuse whatsoever. Plenty of other people out there who have suffered incest at the hands of their parents and other forms of violent sexual and physical abuse and they don't turn out the way Fred and Rose did. They did what they did purely to get off on it, to feel powerful. Nothing more. Just vile pieces of vermin. At least by taking his own life Fred saved the taxpayer some money. Were still paying for Rose's 3 square meals a day.

And to think some people are against the Death Penalty.
@tayagreen7517

I completely respect your opinion however I would just really like to put across the other side of the argument. I don't feel it is right that the person behind the crime should be killed as they leave behind all the destruction that they did. There are many people who have had their loved ones murdered to which when the murderer dies they regret not speaking to them to ask questions and see the last person their loved one saw. Also during school we were being taught about the death penalty and I was asked do I agree with it (this is two days after my dad died of cancer) and I said something that stuck in my head for ever. What about the family that the murder leaves behind. No the murderer does not have the right and privilege to still have a family but can you imagine how much it could mess up a kid, wife, husband, mother or dad to know their loved one was killed by the state? A life sentence should be a life sentence but they should not be allowed to artificially leave this world leaving all their destruction behind.

@@tayagreen7517 helloTaya my point being is really based on what I call perfect justice,it's based on the Bibles teaching of an eye for an eye,and a life for a life....... thanks for your post, love and respect from Perth Australia.

@@tayagreen7517 dear Taya,hello again I've lived a long life I'm 82 years old this year. I've seen so many changes to law enforcement, it's almost got to the stage where crime actually does pay. My feelings are for the victims and families, I quoted the Bible because to me the laws and commandments given to the people of Israel makes perfect sense. ie. Exodus chapter 20 gives the ten commandments the 6th being " you shall not murder",Exodus 21 v12 gives us the death penalty for murder, accidental death is another matter all together, this entails justice tempered with mercy. No matter how long you keep convicted murderers alive it will never bring back the victims, another point is the burden on the tax paying people, I'm sorry that you have lost your Father, life is a precious gift, your life for instance is as important and precious as anyone alive, NO ONE has any right to take it away, I of course realise that the death penalty is a very controversial issue and everyone should have the right to believe or not whether it should be part of the judicial process. I'd like to wish YOU a happy and prosperous future, it's been nice conversing this way. PS my great grandchildren know more about technology than me, Bye for now from Perth Australia.
