Thank you so much for going through the effort of showing us these in- person! I was excited to see the new elevator rails, but somehow the tenjinkun was even more thrilling to see! Watching that small and sleek lift climb up the slope of stairs, I'm shocked that it isn't some kind of technology sent here from of the future. And thank you for showing us the view at night! Love from the USA!

The upside down train running to Chiba blew my mind. It’s an old idea but done very well the Japanese.
I never cease to be amazed at how Japanese transport, especially long distance Japanese railways, are so much better than here in the U.K. - I just wish the Japanese rail companies were given complete and direct control of the U.K. railways
@roger0929Ай бұрын
You are aware that rail tickets in Japan cost about double the price compared to the same distance traveled, right?

Absolutely stunning views of nature and city vistas; the train is very impressive and accommodations for pedestrians on par or better than anywhere else. One sad note are the caged animals living in concrete and the fascination for child-themed vending machines. Japan certainly is a land of contrasts. Thank you for the great video. ❤

U.S. needs to learn from Japan on how our transportation needs to improve drastically.
@DJAYPAZАй бұрын
Agreed. The US isn’t the only country that could learn from Japan.
@roger0929Ай бұрын
Japan's income tax rate is roughly double the rate in the U.S. The population density is almost 10 times more. So if you want to live in a country with 3.5 billion people and pay twice as much income tax, I'm sure the U.S. would be able to provide the same level of public transport.

The anpanman vending machine is cool ! We were on Inasayama last year, and enjoyed the views from the top over Nagasaki very much. But we missed the Slope Care, and therefore also the small zoo and the hungry deer. I however have very dear memories of us feeding the hungry deer in Nara, with cabbage that we had previously prepared and cut. It was fun !
@swissfoodie3542Ай бұрын
By the way: the meal you had looked okay, but it was definitely not Turkish ! Not at all. Nothing about if was Turkish. But I guess, if it was tasty, its okay. Just a wrong name for it. The soup looked a bit like jogurt rice soup from Türkiye, so that might have been correct, but the rest not.

my question … is it durable during winter when it is cold and snowy outside … is it possible to get warm in the winter and airconditioned in the summer when it is hot outside

Excellent video! But you really shouldn't be recommending the JR Pass in your header any more - with the price increase, individual tickets are almost always cheaper.

2:37 The cruise ship _could be_ the _Resorts World One._ It might have been between its four-night cruise to Naha and Miyakojima (August 23) and the two-night Ishigaki cruise (starting August 27). (Does the geography make sense?)
@roger0929Ай бұрын
No, it's Dream a Chinese cruise ship.

@@roger0929 Is that a cruise ship? I can't find that anywhere. Well, your answer is probably better than mine. (That's what I get for asking ChatGPT.)
