Absolutely true, we feel lucky to have been able to travel at all and have tried to avoid flying as much as possible (which we try to anyway as we don't like flights) Thank you for watching 😊

Wow! What a haul! You looked surprisingly awake throughout- well except Kirsty sleeping!! 🤣 Horrid travelling with masks on but pleased it didn’t keep Kirsty awake, not surprised after all those hours with no sleep!!! Out-take was a give away of just how tired you were though!🤣 Loved the orange sky on the flight - well caught! 👍 Look forward to seeing the ferry crossing & arrival in Kefalonia- such a beautiful island- first destination on your travel vlogs that I’ve actually been to!!! 3 AM.....Sigh. Yeah, early flights are never fun but it's always worth it in the end! :) Nice that the airport was so empty. Makes for a quick and stress free security experience. Sorry to hear you had to deal with the stress of bags being over weight. I've been in that situation and it's always SO stressful! Wow. It is SO empty. So weird to see, even if it's so early in the morning. Happy you were able to sleep on the plane Kristy :) Much needed during such a long travel day. Looking forward to seeing your vlogs from your time in Greece next!

3am 😱😱😱 but...we would give anything for a travel day, even getting up in the early hours of the morning 😌 Don’t know if we’ll ever get used to empty airports and traveling with masks. Had to giggle at Kirsty sleeping with her eye mask and face mask 😷 🦹 So cool to be taken along on your travel day though 🤗 nothing better than a good sleep when finally reaching your destination 😅

It’s so strange seeing airports empty and quiet. It was hilarious when Craig showed me the footage of me asleep on the plane! 😂 Also slept on the bus like it, sleeping anywhere is a skill I never knew I had until recently!

5:29 Luggage weight restriction exists to help prevent spinal injury in workers who load and offload the bags. Overweight bags will have a special tag attached to them so that loaders know those should be handled with extra care. Charging people for going over the limit stops them from doing this often and on purpose.

That makes a lot of sense! It is definitely a good deterrent for people, it would be really good if airlines were transparent with their reasoning. We’re pleased we reduced one of them back down. Our aim now is to travel with only one checked bag between us, reducing cost and weight, hopefully☺️

3am wake up call.... eeeek super early! But breakfast cake for the win! Whaaat? Sherbet Thats expensive for luggage but luckily you got to take some hand luggage 😶 We can't even imagine a life without a mask. Since last year in South Africa we have to always wear a mask. So its crazy to see someone aren't wearing theirs. Love the packs they give you on the plane, makes you feel safer right? Loved the second flight through those clouds! Kirsty i couldn't even recognize you with the eye mask and face mask 🤣 that was epic! Shame guys what a hectic travel day! I'd be completely shattered! Excited to see the rest of the journey next week!

This was the first time we’d ever had to wear a face mask since the pandemic started. It certainly didn’t affect my ability to sleep while travelling! 🤣

Wow that was quite the travel day. Don't know how you guys did it. Must have been the morning rave taxi that got your day kick started! 😂 We were so glad to see your last bus was nice and comfortable. We would have been passed out the second we sat down!

We seem to always get rave taxis whenever we get them super early. It happened in Russia too😄 Craig is not so good at sleeping while travelling where as I clearly have no problem falling asleep! 😂

I am currently traveling around the world with a drone and now I am traveling to Switzerland. It's really difficult to continue traveling in a pendemic situation, and neither do I. Tide Knot Travelers' couples are the best couples I know.

The airport is so empty glad they didn't cancel the flight. I love how they are giving cleaning supplies now on the plane I hope it will never change even if we return the 'normal'. Seems like you transferred smoothly too. Interesting, random testing huh. Can't wait for the next episodes in Greece!

Yeh it was so empty. It’s so strange looking at airport departure boards and seeing only a couple of flights. We were super glad the flight wasn’t cancelled, it’s an extra worry right now😅

What did you like Vuoristorata? It's always my favourite when i visit Linnanmäki. I like going there at least once on every visit. Please let us know in advance next time you plan to visit Helsinki and the rest of Finland.

It was really cool to see it but we couldn’t go on it. It’s a really great amusement park, we loved how it was set up so close to the city and that you can just wander around without having to commit to a ticket. We’ll definitely visit Finland again, we have so much more to see and we’ll let you know ☺️

It's crazy how many new processes are in place to travel now. QR codes galore! We had a covid test in Vietnam. It's no fun. It's good that you got the miss the nose part. That was a very long travel day! We look forward to seeing the lovely Greek isle next week!

Your experience of Helsinki airport is different to mine. Last off the plane from Tallinn (turbo-prop & no skywalk), 30 mins to connecting flight to London so rushed by porter up into terminal and through Schengen passport control, with Siri running behind with our hand luggage (imagine all those fast speed movies filmed through the car windscreens in town). Then down again onto plane apron, to plane, again with no skywalk, so had to ‘bum up’ all the stairs to the top, and needed oxygen once I had sat down. And then they tell me passport control could have been done on the tarmac, given the two planes were only 200 metres apart! Just one of life’s experiences to add to the collection. ♿️

Oh wow, that sounds exhausting! 😰 shame you didn’t have a chance to enjoy the airport, it looked pretty nice from what we saw (most of it was closed though) rushing through an airport is something we’ve done a few times and it certainly gets the heart racing when you think you’ll miss your flight! 😅

You guys powered through! I'd be a miserable grouch with no sleep. It seemed like good plane experiences... were they packed or did they space you out? The bus journeys seemed pretty seamless as well. I bet you had an amazing sleep after all that work to get there!!

The planes weren’t too packed, maybe 40-50% occupancy. We both fell straight to sleep when we checked in then woke up to find some dinner about 9pm😴

Wow what a long travel day! you did it guys though. Seems like the covid test was pretty seamless, glad only one of you had to do the test. Cant believe we went all year without having to do one. (also glad you didn't get in trouble for videoing there I saw one of the workers moving their finger in a "no-no" way right before the test. Seems like many workers and businesses are afraid they will get in trouble for not adhering to their guidelines and being recorded on video.

Yeh it’s crazy that you have managed a whole year travelling without a test (Kirsty is super pleased about this too😄) the security guards told us we couldn’t film so Kirsty had to shut the camera off just after that, you’re probably right may be worried they’ll get in trouble for not adhering to rules or something.

Good watch. My husband and I obtained financial freedom recently, and the first thing we want to do now the travel restrictions are starting to be lifted a little bit more, is start traveling!!! I love travel vlogs in the meantime! Keep your videos coming! I’m following!

Wow getting up at 2:30 am is brutal! It's funny when you said that the mask requirement is a bit inconsistent in the airport because right before that I saw 4 airport workers walk by in the background with no mask. At least the airport and airplanes were pretty empty. The day was long and complicated by the pandemic but you guys are in Greece! Yay! Looking forward to what's coming up next!

So glad you noticed that, I felt like by the time I said about it we didn’t see anymore without masks but before that we saw lots! It was quite a long day of travel but we were really happy to have some sunshine and warm temperatures again😎

Oh it's a torture early flights, coz you destroy your biological clock.. And that zombie feeling... Its for the young... 😀 And so funny how that bus chair suddenly becomes the most comfortable thing to sleep 🙂 I love Riga its my favourite town in Russia 😀😀🤣 I know I know very rude, but it's super funny too 🤔😀 did the same flight with Air baltic from Riga to Athens but long time ago, looks like aircraft is very new! Soon there will be a fast train connection from Helsinki to Riga airport, can't wait for rail baltic to start running.
