hey my fellow Nitro Rc Fan! What's up!! Yup, I used to have this same revo brand new when it first came out! IT blew me away back then, I still own this one btw. I got a top speed of 46 MPH with this OS 18 engine on it btw.

I always upgraded my nitro engines to O.S .18 engines they are the best in my opinion. And had em in all my traxxas models from the NITRO SPORT to the T-MAXX. i remeber when traxxas came out with the S-MAXX, SPORT MAXX who remebers those old skool trucks??? Of course we cant forget the very first nitro they came out with, which was the NITRO HAWK. haha old skool is still cool. Ive always loved traxxas, HPI, OFNA, DURATRAX, SCHUMACHER, sorry if i spelled that wrong and if course HOT BODIES. the DIRT DEMON was another badass truck. I miss my nitros. I would like to get back info nitro rc again one day. Like the videos.

hey dude, nitro ain't easy, took me years to learn how to fix, repair and tune the engines. Not as easy or fast as a modern brushless RC, even some brushed are faster. But when you get it to run right, thats what feels good. LOL.

My Ancient Revo has dual servo steering. And I have a forward and reverse. Not completely sure if it’s a two speed or not though. Also if you want TSM and all of that you can buy them separately. Traxxas sells the TSM receiver for 50$ I might slap that on my Slayer

Hey hybrid I was thinking of doing an engine swap for an madcrusher so I came across the O.S .21TM and I was wondering would it work the only things it needs for it to work is an Rear port exhaust slide carb and SG crank do you think that the .21 tm has all those?

yup, thats right. I always go for anything with an OS motor, usually they are in great shape and outlast the rc itself. I think my fav OS over the years has been the 15 cv-rx, what about you?
@jasonharris6305 жыл бұрын
hybrid32494 Hey man, I agree. The .15 cv-Rx was great and reliable. I have an o.s. .18 tm in my revo 2.5r. Japanese motors are the best.

@@The4cylinder ye dude, that chassis alone is almost a collector's piece. Plus that pico 26 is some good money too. That guy must have had over 800 into the thing, easy, probably over 1K though collectively.

I have a question can I change a 3.3 Traxxas pull start to a ez start
@hybrid324944 жыл бұрын
hey buddy. Yes, you could. You would need the entire EZ-start system, but it would be a direct fit if you had it all. Your best bet is to buy a full system on eBay that was removed from a parts 3.3 engine. Make sure the EZ-start wand is included, or else you'll be shopping for that too. I'd say its a hassle to be honest with you, just stick to your pull starter.

Which would you reccomend, this or the t Maxx 2.5
@hybrid324945 жыл бұрын
hey dude!! what's up, how you been? I'd recommend the revo over the t-maxx. They have similar engines and drivetrain but the REVO is a way better handling chassis with low center of gravity, great inboard shocks, and none of the weak areas of the T-maxx (bulkheads, and easy to bend shock shafts, etc).

Are u using the mg995 servos on all your nitros
@hybrid324943 жыл бұрын
hey bro! Haha, yes! Years ago I purchased like 10 of those tower pro Mg995 for super cheap (we are talking like 5 dollars a servo - back in like 2010). I have been running them since, not a single one has broken or failed. They are hella strong, metal gears, but not that fast. This was the era of the first CHEAP high quality servos being made, and I bought a whole ton of them, lol.
@krodyssey47703 жыл бұрын
@@hybrid32494 some people say they don’t last and the top piece of the servo always break. Is this a good thrttole servo for a revo 3.3
@hybrid324943 жыл бұрын
@@krodyssey4770 LOL, those people are super silly! ahaha. I;ve been running these for years, super reliable. And how can the top part even break, there is nothing there, its just a plastic piece, lol. It would be awesome for a throttle servo, yes, they are rated at 11 KG, there no need for more. Modern servos are way too powerful, they tend to destroy the slide carb mechanism with insane force.

you sure thats a 3.3 not a 2.5 revo with a different engine ? i see alot of differences from my stock 3.3.
@hybrid324942 жыл бұрын
hey buddy! Whats going on! It is most likely an older revo, you're right about that. Considering I've purchased it like this, I have no way of really knowing. BTW I think there were some early models of the older revo chassis which still had the 3.3 in it. Maybe e I'm wrong though. Not sure about this one.

how accurate would you say the reading are with the tqi link? i didnt want to spend the money to get a temp gauge and gps if readings were close. i dont want to run a new revo to the ground relying on this app. also would you recommend adding a fuel filter on a new unit? thanks

Converted mine to electric and its way heaver by the time u put all the batteries in. Nitros actually much lighter
@hybrid324943 жыл бұрын
hey bro! I'm glad you pointed that out, this is something nobody seems to think about. Once you start going above 3S power you have substantially heavy lipos when you're running dual packs. The nitro drivetrain is quite light in terms of the performance it gives, right on!! NItrogang!!!

Why is it the guys who run nitros never put there body on it n we just see a chassis driving around? 😂
@hybrid324945 жыл бұрын
im gonna catch up on all your vids this weekend BTW. And the moving of the body is because usually when it's hot outside it's important to increase engine cooling, because these easily overheat. Generally I check the engine temp each minute or so, guys that run with the body on all the time usually have over heating issues or are NEWBS. LOL.. Unless you run extremely rich, in which case the engine bogs down a lot.

I have holes drilled threw my body so when its on its a lil bit cooler

@@hybrid32494 you should have added ventilation throughout the body for cooling. Tune it with the body off then always run with the body on cause I hate to see you scratch your beautiful cooling head. Pluss it makes for better quality viewing when the body is on. 💯💯🏁🏁
