In this video I bash my Traxxas Slash 2wd xl-5 model that I dubbed “The Cheapest Traxxas Slash” in the Snow for the First Time. How did the 2.2 Proline Badland Tires Perform in the Snow??

I build a sick snow track in my yard every winter. It keeps me busy and I have lots of fun. I just got traxxas cars recently after running wltoys a lot. They are fast and best of all tough. Stay well !!!

Thanks man! Sounds like a ton of fun! The Traxxas cars are definitely tough machines!

Cool video. I think the new 272r transmission would help with your diff issue. Comes stock with grease but you can change it out with oil. Even with just grease it has some resistance to help with the inside tire unloading. Keep your videos coming.

Glad you liked it! I’ve been running the 272R for close to a year now actually

the oversteer in offroad and the tipping in onroad as well as the one wheel wonder with the 2wd slash makes me want to go after a 4x4 slash, but im not giving up on mine yet, i plan to get a hot racing sealed differential after i get my duratrax tires. So far i made the lcg conversion, upgraded to rpm suspension arms, put 35wt oil in the front struts and 40wt in the back, and replaced the springs with hot racing rally springs, handles rather better on the road this way, but it will still tip over if you push it hard. As soon as i feel content enough with the overall suspension and handling of my slash i think ill go ahead and make it brushless.

Sounds like you have done quite a bit to yours. I agree that going brushless will take the Slash to another level. It’ll be a completely different machine!

@@RCKnockout I made my slash 2wd brushless with the Traxxas velinion motor and esc combo and it is so different to drive. Personally I think it was a good investment

Do the badlands give u more control on grass or gravel then the stock tyres
@RCKnockout3 жыл бұрын
In almost all situations it has better traction than the stock tires. They especially dig in on grass I’ve noticed
