As someone who has had tinnitus since 2018, I just want say to the people out there that are really struggling right now, don't give up hope. Notice I said I have it, I don't suffer from it. I can hear it if I listen for it but otherwise my brain tunes it out and I'm not bothered by it. You can and will get there! Calm that nervous system!

All of these tips work. However, it definitely takes time and practice. I have been struggling with Hyperacusis and reactive tinnitus since September 2022. Dr Tracy introduced me to many of these methods, and honestly, I didn’t believe her to begin with. I now know these techniques are effective. I continue to use them on a daily basis along with proper diet, regular exercise and a disciplined approach to sleep. My central nervous system is much calmer, I am able to focus and sleep patterns are slowly returning to normal.

Stop smoking. Or doing other things that muck around with your circulation. Caffeine. Meds. Alcohol. Sugar.

Forty years here!!! Everyone is different. What helps most people is "ignore it" In lay terms! You will find that when you are focused on something, music, books, conversation, movies, playing!!!! Anything! Easier said than done I know!! Mine was gone during the writing of this! Thanks!

the big question that stay in the way of success of the treatmentis fear that already damaged hearing cells { hering loss/.Hyperacusis/tinnites} will be more prone to more damages than normal people would have ? So we need to protect ourself from loud sounds even far more ? ...it is really official otherwise because logically that is the truth..especially when noises create more pain in the ears.Please address this question with your professional opinion? Possably we need to use ear plugs with 70 max ds?
@treblehealth6 ай бұрын
No, you're not more susceptible to damage than normal hearing people. Your brain might perceive noise as more dangerous, but in reality, that is not the case. Feel free to use earplugs for comfort, but try to remove them little by little so your brain can get accustomed to normal sounds. This gradual exposure can help reduce sensitivity over time.

Has this person ever suffered from Tinnitus...?
@VincentConti-m5j7 ай бұрын
Ya a lot of bla bla...I agree I have had a shrieking sound for forty years. For the lack of a better word.... ignore it if you can. When I am focused on something it just seems to go away! Listening to music makes it go away or at least masks it. Having a good time with a friend...it's not there!!! Good luck!!!!

how can it be that these methods work? your number of people in need does not decrease in any way. a lot is claimed but evidence is never provided. this kind of content only works because there are enough desperate people.
