Its always the one that you think will not be able to handle the hard hike are the ones who who zoom ahead while leaving you huffing and puffing . AMAZING PLACE love to go there

Hahaha Cynthia surprised me so much!! She is super fit! You would love it here Mick, it's definitely a hikers paradise. We will be back next summer, maybe we could meet up?
@MickAngelhere6 жыл бұрын
That would be cool to meet up have to sort out a few things first mainly dealing with some old injuries when you a re young one thinks they are indestructible . But when you get older they come back to haunt you

What a gorgeous place to hike! it's so nice that you got porters. Some of those spots look like a pretty steep climb. The lake looks so pretty. What a perfect spot to camp
@journalofnomads6 жыл бұрын
Yeah we were really lucky to have porters, the hike wouldn't have been possible without them. Ala Kul is probably the most beautiful mountain lake I have seen ever!

HOLY ... *&*$*#?($# That landscape is absolutely breathtaking. There are no words!!! The bright turquoise lake, and that view on the 3rd day of the hike with all the mountain peaks... WOWWW... That sweet little cow in the beginning melted our hearts! So cool when you were brushing your teeth near the river :D AMAZING guys!!

I really love that you guys are cutting edge, with an emerging destination like Krygzystan.. promoting it to the world. Would be so much easier to go to India or the Phillipines to get views.. but you stay off the beaten path and your videos are killing it :)
@journalofnomads6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the kind words Jon :) We love these off the beaten path destinations, central asia is really a pearl in terms of landscapes. Soon we will be going to these more popular destinations as well 😅 The Philippines sound super appealing!

It definitely looks like a tough hike at times but totally worth it! I don't think I've never done a hike that takes more than one day so adding the overnight element would definitely make it tricky. that's so neat that you can hire someone to take your stuff up lol definitely seemed like that would necessary!
@journalofnomads6 жыл бұрын
Oh yes the hike on its own was tough enough 🙂 Having porters to carry all of our equipment up was necessary.

Going there in August. Trying to decide which of my boots to take . Will have crocks for river crossings and camp but undecided what else .Not my trail runners or B2 or B3 winter mountaineering boots .Looking at the weather my light weight mid ankle boots that I do the most kilometres were I live in the Sierra navada Spain will not be waterproof enough. That leaves my Meindl Bhutans which need replacing.
