Trekking to Gokyo Valley in Nepal | Travel Video

Our journey to Gokyo begins with a 320km long motorcycle ride from Kathmandu to Taksindu from where we head out for an incredible journey to reach the summit of Gokyo Ri!
Hiking to reach one of the highest settlements in the world with beautiful Gokyo lakes and rivers surrounded by majestic mountains, four of them over 8000m high, spectacular view of Mount Everest (8,848m), Cho Oyu (8,201m), Lhotse (8,516m), Makalu (8,463m) and the longest possibly largest glacier of Nepal - Ngozumpa Glacier!

Day 3: Kharikhola to Paiyo
Day 4: Paiyo to Phakding
Day 5: Phakding to Namche Bazaar

When I was released from the Hospital after recovering Covid-19, I had no strength in my body, I was unable to attend my prayer, I was unable to sit somewhere more then 30 minutes, I was so weak. But still managed to snack in to my desk and start this video in my desktop and kept watching this. Gorgeous video that brings back so many memories. I was there in 1985 only a few weeks after the Langmoche Flash Flood had destroyed large sections of trails and bridges between Phakding and Namche Bazaar making the walk much harder and potentially deadly in places. We were scrambling over steep, loose sand and unstable boulders, some as big as cars along the Dudh Kosi before climbing straight up the mountain to Namche. Even though I spent that night with altitude sickness, the next morning we went above the village where I got my first view of Ama Dablam and the top of Sagramartha. It was magic.

Stunning and I am amazed at the quality and professionalism of the video content! Very natural serene and lovely animals. I have been to Nepal including remote areas like Sristhaan and Dullu. Very historical culture lovely respectful people filled with immense traditional values. Diverse food, arts, cultural groups and soothing Buddhist mantras and temples. The feelings cannot be described with words but better experienced with lifelong memories.
