Greetings from the US! I remember being pretty shocked when Trevor showed up on the Daily Show. I was like "why are they hiring this random guy from another country?" Now I understand what a gift John Stewart was giving us. Trevor is so wise and humble and we are blessed to have been able to watch him so often for 8 years. I would also be proud if Trevor was from our country! I can't wait to see what Trevor will do next!

And I fell in love with you before you landed in NYC. And you never let me down. Every day you got better and better and better. And you still do. I was super sad when you left The Daily Show. Listening to this conversation now, it actually became clear just how challenging taking over the daily show must have been/felt for Trevor. I always looked at it/him from the perspective of the supportive fellow South African that I never had to assume perhaps some of the hostility that Americans and whoever else may have felt. He spent 8 year proving himself and making the world fall as inlove with him as we South Africans are and I really think he is so strong and brave for committing to the work, himself and his team.
