The movie irked a lot of people who place themselves on the "left" or "right." Satire works well when it comes from the middle because it can point out the absurdity of extremes from both. When you listen to their commentary and interviews you realize their greatest power, they take what they do way less seriously than everyone else so they find triggering people to make it even funnier. Not saying they aren't amazing writers but they almost always do things for the "lols" so whenever someone gets mad and offended they just find it funny bc the whole point was to be funny in the first place and they have little ego attached to it.
