Probably not going to be seen by anyone but, as a lifetime film maker, script writer, character design developer and former military serviceman (didn't think I'd be saying any of that with a relatively straight face today lol), I think Avatar is a deeply phenomenal and outstanding Animated Series, regardless if it was not American or otherwise. FYI I'm just 6:12 minutes into the video and I've already seen an avatar comment where people are saying its good and are just recommending it. However, I have a problem with that. Not because Avatar isn't good. But its because just saying its good tells other people very little of what actually makes Avatar Unique. Obviously its hard to articulate everything the show did, especially from a random moron like me lol, however I would like to present a few things the series Avatar the Last Airbender visualised and presented to its viewers - young and old - to then forever remain a positive, sensitive, vivid and intense narrative spectacle worthy of all who decide to see the story through. While it may be dismissed as an elemental anime fantasy world, the true setting of the story is a surprisingly realised vision of a world in turmoil. Though never represented in disrespectful and poorly written ways, even from Season 1 we are thrown into a world of distrust, societal division, moral ambiguity and even terrible atrocities justly found in an era craving peace. We follow our primary protagonist, Aang, a young boy forced to grow up faster than anyone could expect him to, and, we follow the exodus of his free will and liberty when he faces the consequences of vanishing from the world when it needed him most - and they didn't dumb it down either. From a beginning like that, the story is nothing more than becoming better, but not in a senseless, level grinding way like in games or in repetitive cheap encounters, its about growing up and facing the realities of the world amongst the burdens we carry and the troubles we will see. We witness guilt. We witness fear. We witness sorrow, loss and calls to action that we, as human beings, can all share through the truth of what fiction can achieve. Throughout the journey we encounter many types of people and characters from every strata of civilisation, society and the breadth of human imagination. From soldiers to princesses, conceited freedom fighters, peace loving wandering nomads, dashing rogues and troubled bandits, championship pit fighters, warrior generals, medieval circus performers, genuine martial artists, physically impaired travellers, mentally troubled samaritans, all sorts of distinct supernatural entities and spirits, a myriad of diverse cultures, ancient female paragons, forest moon witches and the like. But seldom is the time that any of such characters feel unjustly "one dimensional" or "inauthentic" as it were to the episodes they appear in. They are sometimes whacky, sure, its a cartoon lol. Other times they're far too strange and unique to be a real or serious thing. But a keen eye observing the narratives will see that the emotions expressed, and sometimes *not* expressed are so lifelike and stirring that, as everyone who has finished the show will know, will often be something viewers will empathise with and even understand. And with that backdrop of conflict, all those conduits of diversity and fantastical places serve as experiences to learn from and enablers for adversity the Avatar and his friends will, and do, learn to approach, accept, and resolve in the best and most mature ways they could. Take Prince Zuko, an impetous royal heir shamed at the hand of his own father who carries the anger and resentment like the flame on which his homeland calls a symbol of their own. He's a rash young man, bright with ambition and activity. He takes to a life of war and battle despite his youth. But he does so only to feel strong in his life, for when he was younger, that strength, and the scars of his "weakness" were something he never had. Overtime, Zuko, though a secondary character, grows to exhibit genuine personal strength in other ways. In his long pursuit of peace and affirmation, he masters the idiom that "Nothing is so strong as gentleness, and nothing is so gentle as real strength". Whereas there was a time when all he could do was hate or destroy not as a prince or a person but more like a weapon, as the days pass and as he humbles, he learns that the peace he seeks is not something you can simply get by yourself, but that it is also given to others, in the time we spend with the people we know and care about. This is something he attains throughout a multitude of character developing and deeply moving events in the Avatar series. From facing and understanding his enemies, questioning his loyalties, becoming a fugitive at the heart of his enemy's greatest capital city (where he actually even falls in love), listening to the loving council of his silently grieving Uncle, and letting the fire in his heart give warmth to others rather than burning all he has away. AH eh I just realised I spoke too much already. Anyway, that's just one thing I thought I could say altho it probably might not even make sense lmao. THANK YOU if by some miracle someone decided to read tho lol Enjoy the Podcast!

Pyrian probable needs to see more types and stick with some because Anime covers a HUUUUUGE amount of ground and some of the best take some time to get into the characters, which is why a lot of anime is Dragonball like where it isn't about the characters, it is about the blowing things up. Akira is weird, based on body horror, but done like a real life movie. Ghost in the Shell is also some body horror, but more about "the singularity" of AI. Both of those are movies. Cowboy beebop is the inspiration for Firefly, and it really is about the people involved, so it can still take time to get into as they introduce and let go several characters. Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherood is a longer series and a classic for a reason, but it is mostly about the characters, and that may not happen quickly. This is why One Punch Man is so well regarded in the West, because we don't really know where things fit, but OPM is so simple anyone gets the characters immediately. Mob Psycho 100 is all about the characters, and the drawing style is offputting, so you REALLY have to watch an entire short episode. So "it's bad" is not knowing what you are going to see and "it" not being what you are interested enough into to stick with it, and so wide a variety that unless you are really into anime, you won't find the niche you like.

Hilarious Comedians: The Movie got absolutely review bombed in China. It was meant to be based on a Saturday night variety/sketch show type of deal. One star reviews read much like: "if you've seen this movie, I respect your humility, if you have not seen this, then turn around and run." Another: "why'd Mr Bean appear in such a piece of shit, can some explain this to me!?" It's weird, and considered worse than 5mao CG graphics movies in China 😂

I'd just like to add that the negative reviews for the cycle, the majority of the negativity that I've seen is because of lack of bug fixes and lack of solo queue, very few to none for the "freemium" idea. The packs you can get are meant to be exact copies of tarkov, and add little to no advantage. It's just more starter gear (the stuff you lose right away in tarkov) and a lot of cosmetics. And all in game transactions are cosmetic
