As someone who is very familiar with the community around people who are conceived via sperm donation, the "you should be happy" take is not the best. I realize it's just comparing a doctor to a student, but if the recipient and then the child think that the sperm is from one source but is actually from the fertility doctor themselves, that's so many layers of wrong. There are actually a lot of cases (mainly on the US) where fertility doctors essentially use their own sperm while telling the recipient it's from a donor. I know Flax wasn't really thinking about it anywhere near this much, but as it's a subject I'm familiar with as a donor conceived person myself, I thought I would elaborate.

I can't imagine that Lewis doesn't have ADHD. I know, it's rightfully frowned upon to try to label people you don't know like this, but the thing is, he's just like me in too many ways to ignore. And it's not that I'm trying to diagnose him, really. For a lot of people, it becomes more like a personality type than a disorder, as we learn what works for us. In fact, I've learned that a lot of the things that I've thought of as my personality are either ADHD traits or forms of ADHD management. There's a lot that's great about ADHD, and it seems like Lewis has used it successfully. In particular, many of us think of hyperfocusing largely as a superpower. But it's useful to know if you have it. Maybe there are tips out there that you haven't thought of, or maybe it will just help you learn about yourself. Even though I was diagnosed when I was young, I believed for decades that I was lazy, and I had to almost trick myself into being productive. Turns out, it's not laziness, it's executive dysfunction, which comes with ADHD. Learning that was huge for me! I already used the right strategies for it, but understanding why they worked helped me make them more effective. I wish I knew sooner that undertreated ADHD can lead to anxiety, though. Learned that one the hard way. If you think you might have ADHD, I strongly recommend looking into it! You may not need a diagnosis or medication, but just learning about it can be a bigger help than you'd imagine. I wouldn't get rid of ADHD, even if I could, but there's so much helpful information out there now that I wish I could have had when I was diagnosed. It's like there's a user manual for part of my brain! Even though it wasn't broken down, the information helps me keep it properly maintained and running smoothly.

Yeh like they don't need to do it all the time by any means, but like a Christmas HOI stream would be so great. I love watching them fail at taking over the world, and feel like its a special mix of fun when its just those three. I think i had watched some Pyrion streams where he was playing with people who were actually good at HOI and it was way less interesting for some reason.

Regarding the NCIS comments. I really enjoyed the show for several seasons. I won’t say it’s a great show, but it was a big part of my childhood. But I just can’t watch it anymore after some actors left. I tried getting back into it but it feels like a completely different show to me. I am American and grew up in one of the biggest military cities in the US so that might be a big reason I liked it as a kid rather than the show actually being good.

people complain about the instant travel in GoT season 8 but in season 1 episode 1 the king arrives in Winterfell and in episode 2 they are back in Kings Landing, thats instant travel too but back then it was no fuss or less heard off, guess it was after the whole shown travel time with Arya and The Hound that people expected the same again in later seasons

It just occurred to me after all these years how strange it is that a podcast whose callsign is a declaration of impotence is named after the final mcguffin in a nintendo game that it has no relation to or interest in. Like imagine a wine and book club called Chaos Emeralds because one member's name vaguely sounded like the word "emerald"

Weird take on the sperm donor thing. I would be ecstatic to find out I have that many siblings. Yeah it's different if you didn't grow up with them but I would love to get to know them if they were willing.
