Yes, report non citizens who are a terror threat, but the terrorist organization moniker isn’t enough. Especially, the way it gets applied domestically in the US. Federal law enforcement agencies depend on groups like the SPLC making that designation. I am a person of color, brow and I never had experienced racism related to terrorism because I do not belong to the group of brown people who do terror attacks, I have experienced other kinds of racism like if you don't like you go and similar, or if something is missing they thought it was me because, yes my brown brothers maybe are related to this kind of problems. When young someone I was working with asked me if I could get drugs because of the same reason. I'm not American, but I'm left leaning, and Jan 6th was obviously a set-up, orchestrated by the FBI and establishment in order to paint Trump and his supporters as fascistic. Mostly a glorified guided tour with some agitators of questionable origins. These were 2A supporters with no weapons being let into a government building. There have been other protests at the Capitol, but these were considered "noble" causes, and so weren't highlighted in the media. It's true, journalists here live in an alternate universe; don't seem to know a damn thing about how most Americans think or what they go through. In the old days, journalism used to be a working-class profession that didn't demand any formal training, and as such journalists were appropriately suspicious of anyone in powerful positions. Now that journalism became more and more a respected and high-class profession requiring a bachelor's degree, it became less available to the working class and is now made up of graduates from out-of-touch ivy league universities who were essentially befriending the exact type of people there that they were supposed to be exposing later on in their careers. If you want decent journalism, look for it on substack, youtube, podcasts, etc... there are many of them now who are fantastic and funded purely by viewers instead of by corporations. There is quite a lot of fascinating and quite impactful information I've learned from them that is barely touched upon by the mainstream media, like the unexplained increase in excess deaths in the past couple years for example.
