He dragged one of Darkseid's Avatar into the boomtube enclosure. He did that to remove the Avatar from Apokolips, which greatly boosts the Avatar naturally. So in essence, Trigon trapped himself, cause Darkseid can just destroy the Avatar and teleport in a new one back at Apokolips. Lol

The real answer is it depends who's writing it, but based on Trigon making Lucifer his pet Dog, stalemating Mr.M the 5th dimensional reality warping Imp, directly threatening The Presence to his face one time, requiring John Constantine to gather EVERY magical artefact + Shazam's full powers + Ragman's Cloak just to face off against him because he turned up to claim Earth, then only "winning" because after Trigon clapped him in like 10 minutes tops with all that Power and DYING, he then used Ragman's cloak to possess Trigon's Body whilst he was dead, take the Spear of Destiny and stab himself and Trigon, thus sacrificing himself, was he beaten...I'm gonna say Trigon makes Darkseid look like he's, well, you or me, lol, He's so far beyond Darkseid it's not even funny. And spare me the "true form" yada yada replies anyone thinking about it, they are obviously both extremely powerful evil beings but Trigon is consistently shown to be a threat to everything, he doesn't NEED an Anti-life equation to Dominate reality, he just turns up and WILL'S IT, and it is so! His only real restriction is getting into a new reality in the 1st place as he's a Demon and is usually written as requiring someone in that dimension to summon him, although it's very "hand-wavey" how the writers deal with him since he's so powerful they are usually forced to use Magical McGuffins and Raven's relationship to him (and her being uber powerful herself) to defeat him.

Something that I find odd about Trigon, the dude needs to decide how many eyes he wants. In New 52, he had six eyes but in Daughter of Darkness, he had only four. Then at the end of RHATO he had six again while in JL #71 he had four. And if anyone can explain this to me, that'd be great. How in the seven hells did this guy, probably the most powerful demon in all of DC, die to Bizarro of all things? Also, I find it really funny how he treats Raven and I'm glad it was kept consistent except in DoD. Every single time he is like 'alright, daughter, stay here while I destroy your homeworld, okay?'

Honestly it's probably either the writers or artists fault. Some want to use his updated design others prefer his classic design this happens a lot and not just with him. As for Bizzaro killing him.....yeah honestly I doubt he's actually dead it was probably like an avatar or something.

I would argue that it boils down to who the writer was and when it was written. The New 52 era gave him 6 eyes for reasons no one has ever explained the necessity of (you may have to ask Brett Booth or Brent Anderson about it), Daughter of Darkness and JL 71 can be boiled down to one being written by Marv Wolfman who created Trigon along with George Perez and the other being written by Bendis in the post-Rebirth world where going back to the originals was cool again. As for Bizarro... thats just because Scott Lobdell is a shitty writer, he was the same dude that also had Red Robin nearly blast through Trigons skull once using only his own weight and a pair of metal wings.
