This episode was so healing for me. When Trip was sharing his testimony about health issues and the chronic fatigue… I sat and wept for almost 30 minutes. I’ve been going through health issues for 7-8 years now with symptoms exactly like Trip. I’ve lost all my jobs, am in and out of hospitals doing God knows what test next, and no one has ever mentioned CFS. I will be mentioning this to my doctor ASAP. Part of the healing in all of this was also listening to Tim respond with, “that sounds exhausting” instead of responding like Trips college professor saying, “well we all get tired.” I am so blessed by this and so grateful. Thank you so much for this. The Lord used this episode to heal a lot of things in my heart and it may turn out that depending on what doctors find, could change my whole life with how to focus on truly living and thriving with what I have in this life and using what energy and time I do have to glorify the Lord. I may not have a full 48, but I’ll give Him the best 25 I got.

Trip Lee describing his chronic fatigue makes me feel seen! 🙌🏽 This is what I experience with lupus: the frustration to not be as productive, my body cancelling plans on me (how rude!), constant apologies and feeling guilty. I learned to show myself more grace and to be at peace when God decides it’s time to take a nap ASAP!

I have never felt so understood! I have never heard a man’s perspective on chronic fatigue! Explaining how people can’t see it but may believe we’re lazy or not wanting to work or participate! Teaching and giving understanding to pace ourselves on the shot clock is seriously serious, especially when people want and crave your services!!!

Hearing Trip talk about his physical shortcoming reminds me of the Apostle Paul himself talking about his thorn in the flesh which he asked God 3 times to take away but he was denied his request and it kept him humble and served him as a reminder that he was so utterly dependent on God. "MY GRACE IS SUFFICIENT." - God (2 Corinthians 12:9)

February 2022, I challenged myself to read a chapter a day of the Bible. I fell off around November 2022. Which made no sense because I felt so convicted and received an abundance of revelations. Only recently have I picked it back up. I had left off at Job and now, I’m at Psalms. For some reason, Psalms have been a drag to read. Poetry has never enjoyable to me so, I believe that’s why I’m struggling. But, I believe it was meant for me to receive the messages in Psalms in the season that I am now in.

I want to thank you guys for this pod cause it was everything and more. This explains so much of what's beengoing on in my life, I thought something was wrong with me and would he so hard on myself and push myself; nothing I did was good and right. Because of the fatigue, my imposter syndrome and ppl pleasing and insecurities come after me harder and harder. Thank you again. I believe I heard Holy Spirit talk to me saying "I always do my best in all I do, what I'm doing isn't who I am, but an ability I have. I don't have to do front desk to please ppl. I do front desk because it's a part of one of my many abilities." I praise God for you uncle Tim and all the ppl that come through and share their vulnerability.

1:16:00 this part of the convo made me think 2 Corinthians 12 (Paul, thorn)... idea that we need 'moral grace & power' and 'seasonal grace & power' (ie positions/roles) by the Holy Spirit or the flesh will just leave us confused and like trash in our obedience and discernment. For 'seasonal,' we need relationship with God to sense these queues of God and get off our plans into trusting his plans. Surrender has been an elusive thing in many years of my 'Christian' experience. Helpful sharing. And 'seasonal grace & power' may mean a lifetime assignment "season" or any other length of time God decides. Key is that God can decide, not me but that clarity is a trust and intuition built on abiding relationship with the Godhead, not a pre-meditated formula. Great conversation grappling with the self-idolatry in our deceiving flesh we may find in our religious/moralist mentalities disguised as "calling," sounds like worshipping God but may just be idolatry of me ('the pride of life'). So much better the calling of God according to his Spirit with grace and power, not our flesh. What's better? There's joy, not frustration--follow the fruit.
