I don't know if you realize just how fortunate you are to be able to fly fish in NZ. Those rainbows could eat most of our American rainbows as a snack, not to mention the more vivid colors of your fish. Additionally, no bears, no snakes to worry about. Paradise.

I’m not trying to be mean, but help me understand why someone would wear a bright orange piece of clothing which stands out against your background when sight fishing for large trout, because they certainly didn’t get to be that large by not being able to notice the difference in colors. ⁠Well, I’m grateful you still managed to land some fish. Other places the fish notice the difference in colors, and I’ve been forced to change the colors of my clothes to better match the trees in the background and personally, it really has improved my chances because the fish spook easily. Glad you we’re still successful. 😇
