I actually prefer camping in the cold or snow. No snakes to accidentally run into and no mosquitoes trying to get me to donate a pint of blood! Its just harder because you have to be extremely prepared and ready just in case you get stuck there for a couple of days. Its not like the summer when you just toss everything in the pickup and go and learn you forgot something important later! There can be no second guessing.

I notice the 2020 version of the Blackfin you can take all 3 of the fins off. Bad thing is they did away with the US finbox style and moved to a snap in style. I hope i can still get a 2019 model Blackfin. Have a 2018 11' Atoll i really like but think i will hand it down to my son once i get a Balckfin maybe. This is what it's like on all the creeks in my area , i'd say about 4 to 5 log jams a mile. Catfish love log jams Outstanding trip!
@TripSmith4 жыл бұрын
Yea log jambs make it interesting! I hadn't noticed that about the clip on fins until now. Interesting.... I need to get my hands on one and give it a good once over. There are several changes to the board that I would like to take a closer look at. Something inside me tells me that they wouldn't have gone to the snap in style unless it were a good design. There are multiple types of snap in fins/boxes. Going to be tough to get a 2019 model, they are almost all sold out of them.

It was Charles! A good one! I've been told the small fins don't help much. Throughout the course of the day I wasn't getting stuck as much as the video makes it seem. If it was that bad I would have removed it. But I have paddled without a fin and it's not enjoyable ;)

Found your channel while researching iSUPs. I’m happy to say you’ve pretty much alleviated any concern I had about durability issues after the beating you put yours through! Love the content too!

Trip that SUP looks very stable bit I believe they need to come out with a telescopic retractable fin/rudder for them. Man that looked like a lot of work. I think the adventure in this was the adventure itself for sure you earned every mile of this one buddy.

Thanks Scott, yes it was a lot of work lol. That would be cool for a retractable fin. I'm thinking in the next several years someone will have one ;) Just hope I get to try it out!
