Great job mate, I had a tough time draining the oil on my Triump Bonneville Speedmaster few months back and couldn't find any good videos. We appreciate the walk through!

Thank you for this. I did the video because I had the same problem as you when searching. No one showed the underneath clearly enough. The only think I noticed after filming is that maybe I should have done it from the left hand side. But I chose the right because of the side stand. Probably silly but hey it was not a great issue. Anyway cheers mate and happy safe riding and doing your own maintenance. 👍

That drain plug seal you took off is not a crush washer, it's what they all a dowty washer, mainly used on hydraulic hose fitting applications.

Great video Colin. Much appreciated. May I ask you what rear stand you are using for your Bobber please?
@ColinMichael-Artist6 ай бұрын
Honestly I can't remember long time ago and there is no logo on it. though its good I would buy a different one now just Google but make sure it canbe used on a bobber there is a hight issue plus the number plate can catch. So check first.

Good video. How much did all the parts cost. What did you save in doing the change yourself
@ColinMichael-ArtistАй бұрын
Thanks. The cost filter and the cap to undo around €40. But this depends where you are. I those triumph parts. You can get cheaper but not by much. Oil I can't remember but that's the big cost. Saving for me around €120. Most important I could do in my time. Not s garages. It's easy to do. Good luck.

Thanks. Do we need to replace the washer?
@ColinMichael-Artist Жыл бұрын
You don't have to. But as it cost very little against the filter I decided to. As you see on the video the original was not in great condition anyway.

Im curious about the stand youre using

@tgiby9062 did Colin answer your question about the stand? I am wondering the same thing.

Is it necessary to tighten the oil filter too much? Should I force it?
@ColinMichael-ArtistАй бұрын
No way force it. Though I did not use the manual there must a torque number. Use common sense...

@@ColinMichael-Artist Thank you very much for answering my question.

You over tightened that oil filter, that's why thier hard to get off, hand tight only, no need for a ratchet
@ColinMichael-Artist2 ай бұрын
I did not over tighten the oil filter as it was the first time I did it my self....
