My gear selector was sticking in the down position making riding hard! found the gear selector ball joints had seized so a quick strip down a lube was called for

My gear change was awful, had both fibre washers missing so stripped down and greased both ends, new washers and is night and day now. got the washers from Fowlers oem parts for around £10

That's actually a good idea to grease that every few hundred miles or so. Have you ever had difficulty changing out of first to neautral when the bike has been seriously hot? Mine seems to get stuck in gear and only when it cools down you can move through the gears again.

I get what your saying about first! Sometimes I think rocking the bike helps! I couldn’t get the ball out of the cup which is strange as there’s a bent pin which you would think holds the ball in! And how would you fit the fibre washer otherwise!!!!

Take it off, make a funnel with a plastic bag and tape, pore some engine oil in the funnel work the cable up and down till the engine oil drain down the length of the cable fix back on bike! Sorry for the late replies! 😢 Lol
