Great! I have a 2010, 192 kg 660 cc single cylinder bike that I bought second hand with its original Yamaha handguards :) They could be called bikeguards for I dropped my baby a couple of times & the handguard always hits the ground first, preventing any scratch on my bike, only the rear brake pedal was once slightly bent but I straighten it easily 😄😄😄

Lovely vid. Well done! Nothing more satisfying than working on your own bike. I’m looking for hand guards for my trident. Have these helped keep the wind off as much as you’d hoped?
@NothingToProve Жыл бұрын
Yes, the work very well, I've ridden it (Trident) more than her (this is Scott btw 😁) I had these same handguards on my KTM 1290 Super Duke R and they worked well there too. I think they work just a little better than an OEM handguard, I've been on different bikes with the OEM handguards and I've often thought that it could be better but with these, that thought has never occurred to me. take care, Scott

Nice, did the same on my versys 650 only I do not like the mounting on just 1 bolt, why the fu.. they did not make the crashhandle longer en put a second mounting point? Much safer in a crash then this 1 bolt mounting. On the versys 650 I could use the second mounting point of the original handguards but was a lot more work.

Hello Scott and your wife ! Thanks a lot for your video. My wife have also this beautiful Trident. Could inform me/us how reduced the high of the seat (rear shock absorber short, lever, special part in L) ? You have very nice red levers…Rizoma, Triumph, Aliexpress, etc… ? Best regards and ride safe !😉
@NothingToProve2 жыл бұрын
The levers are from probrake: www.probrake.de/Brake-clutch-levers-SET-MIDI-red-for-Triumph-Trident-660-20-L101-R The lowering kit is from: www.vh-motorradtechnik.de/tieferlegung-triumph-trident-660-40mm But we also had to lower the front & shorten the kick stand.

Hi Scott - my wife is 5'5" and signed for a new Trident 660. What is the height of your wife... I need to know if my wife will be able to be comfortable with the 660 during stops with both feet on the ground.... Regards!
@NothingToProve2 жыл бұрын
Hi, she is 5'4" but we had it lowered 40mm for her to "flat-foot it". So far, she loves it and it's a great first bike to learn on. take care, Scott
@kevinarmstrongyoutube2 жыл бұрын
Check out Daytona boots for Ladies. They helped my 5'1" wife along with a lowering kit. Eventually she ended up on a Can Am Spyder. No flat footing required. Good luck to your Mrs!
@TheJWC56RSA2 жыл бұрын
@@NothingToProve Thanks! Is there a kit or do they use another rear shock?
@NothingToProve2 жыл бұрын
Sorry, I didn't see your reply till just now, it's just the link on the rear shock. www.vh-motorradtechnik.de/tieferlegung-triumph-trident-660-40mm But once you do this then you have to cut the kick stand down about 25-30mm too (to your preference, oh and a new retaining spring on the kickstand) and bring the front triple clamp down as far as it can go too. Then that is it. take care, Scott
