I’ve actually had success breeding young BN trios in 10 gallons. In an ideal world I’d have a full scale fish warehouse full of 20 breeders, but space is limited for me. With the proper water changes and cleaning, I’ve had no issues doing this. I only keep young BN trios in these those. All other pleco species and BN over 4.5” go in one of my 20s. And fry are removed immediately.

Does the father eat the other previous babies if he isn't the father? Or do you remove him from the aqurium after the fry leave the cave ? I had to pull the eggs because he threw the eggs out. I've raised them in a large breeder box. I was also afraid because I've got multiple plecos breeding. I wondered if I should separate some of them? I've got a 40 gallon currently and they started breeding.

If 99% of us guys and gals look like you then where's the question of ugly, moreover define ugly 😊. That was very informative. I got an albino Male(2.5 inches long) here and a couple of fry which came free with him... I don't know if he's the father. However, I've kept the fry (maybe 2 weeks old?) In a different tank. I'd be grateful if you could take some time and answer a few questions I got. Q1. What do I feed the albino if the algae runs out? I tried cucumber, apple bits and brocolli on a tweezer, but he just won't eat neither the fry! Q2. They are nocturnal, but this guy hardly moves away from his driftwood and only comes out at night... is that normal? Q3. I got a lot of brown algae and spot green algae on the walls, but he's not eating them at all, what type of algae do albinos eat? If you got some other tricks and tips, please share. Thanks!

Hello! I have a pair of Ancitrus L 144 sexually mature male and female. I want to breed them. My question is, what is the minimum size the aquarium should be to keep only one pair of ancitrus L 144 in it?
@futuredog10844 жыл бұрын
Tell that to my male bristlenose pleco... he has multiple caves available but he chose a pagoda decoration for my smaller fish to breed with the female. Keep in mind ita the only decor that has more then one entrance... it has about 4. Yet all the caves I provided had only one entrance. He's the only male bristlenose pleco in that tank.
