In This Tropics Update Hurricane Beryl Is Now The Strongest Atlantic hurricane in the month of June on record. Hurricane Beryl is the earliest category 4 hurricane on record in the Atlantic. Invest 94L and Invest 96L could develop very soon as the 2024 Atlantic Hurricane Season is off to a very fast start.

My question is how will the new GOES-U satellite that was just launched help with forecasting these storms? Do you know if there is anything on GOES-U that will make hurricane forecasting better or was it more for other weather situations? Im in FL and glad we are safe from this one. Thanks again!
