Troubleshooting Clock Hands

thank you so much. i bought my deluxe clock from you (it has the men drinking and wife beating her husband with rolling pin while the children dance and cuckoo and water wheel move). several years ago, its very complex, but somehow the hour hand became loose. all is fine now. my young children are growing to understand how complex fine Bavarian workmanship still exists! cheers from the US.

I got my clock 15 years ago and the hour hand had the typical looseness. Your video was simple, and to the point! So easy to follow so that I can get another 15 years of precision timekeeping! Never move the hour hand. Set the time by only moving the minute hand.

hi i just bought a new cuckoo clock from black forest, my problem is that the minute hand is stuck when it reached near the hour or 12 it wont run or play the cuckoo. How will i fix this?

If only it were that easy. Nobody told me what a nightmare it is to set the cuckoo to synchronise at the right hour with the right amount of chimes and music. It is like a mathematical equation that can take me days to solve to get it right. Every year I dread putting the clock forward or back for daylight savings and end of. The hands on mine are different in the spindle to what's depicted here.

advancing it is easy. just go slowly using only the minute hand. to go back an hour..(DO NOT MOVE THE HANDS!) Stop the pendulum, wait an hour and restart the pendulum. As far as the chimes go, there should be a switch to turn them off and then restart when you want. Easy peasy!

My new clock says it is supposed to play music on the hour and half hour. It only plays music and has movement on the hour. Help?

What kind of glue is that? Also, I just moved. I packed mY clock in its original box with all the clamps on the bellows the door won’t close after it cuckoos now... nothing looks bent and the wire is below the birds tail. Can you assist me?
