Watch the scene where Achilles takes the beach and the sun god temple. It’s cool how it foreshadows the levels in their difference. Achilles launches a spear with no arc just straight flat way farther than humanly possible and kills a dude next to Hector then he rides a bit closer and throws his spear and it has a huge arch and Achilles just steps aside to dodge it because it’s so much slower

I like the way Hector also removed his helmet to even the fight when Achilles removes his, a true honorable warrior/prince he is. Hector honestly did some incredible shit here. He's fighting a literal demigod, and still manages to not only keep up, but he breaks his spear and manages to slice his armor, a move the film clearly wants us note was something that Achilles was not prepared for. No one had ever come that close to hitting him, much less landing an actual blow. Is Achilles the better fighter? yes. But the fact that Hector holds his own, for this long, is incredible.

Both are perfectly choreographed, and the tense-building before and during the duel are shivering my skins. Maybe only thing make Bruce Lee's better than this because both Lee and Norris are real martial-arts men. The other scenes I give shouts and you could watch, the sword duels both in Rob Roy and The Mark of Zorro (1940). Of course most fighting scenes in Hong Kong martial arts movies are worth-watching 😎
