I'm an arab muslim that moved to this country when I was yong, I called my cousin which he's black arab at the time of Floyd and he told me ,Rachid I never know that I'm black until I came to the US. Definitely ignorance of some Arabs ,Indian or Pakistani Muslims can make you feel left out ,which is very sad. Black Muslims are important in our communities , I myself have so many heroes. Islam is not against traditions or hobbies unless it is against the way of our prophet muhammad then we have to make an effort to change it , but we need to support each other no matter of our differences or minor faults.

When you read authors like Sylian diof read the diaries of Omar Iben. You can wear anything as long as it covers your awrah, sister. The abaya is arabic of origin and the wearing of abaya is normalised in Muslim societies worldwide for its loose, modest yet stylish cut and design. There is no compulsion to wear anything specifically as long as it doesn't contradict the deen, but in communities, it is so common to find people pressuring others to wear things in a certain way, this exists everywhere, even within Muslim communities across the globe, and also within non-Muslim communities where people are pressured to dress a certain way. As long as your heart is in the right place with Allah, please do as you will sister, be at peace with Allah, not the world. Allah Taala will give you peace.

The French enslaved African Muslims and brought many into what is now the State of Louisiana. Vast majority Louisiana Creoles were forced to convert from Islam to Catholicism. I am so thankful to ALLAH, the Almighty, that although when I was born in the late 1950s to a family (my Mother’s side) that were members of the Nation of Islam under the then leadership of Mr. Elijah Muhammad and later I also experienced the church, read both the Bible and the Qur’an by the time I was 20 years, I Never, Ever felt bad about the Beautiful skin tone that the Creator blessed me with, and I have Never, Ever felt bad about being Muslim! I’m Muslim by Nature. And even though there are people who wear the name Muslim but follow the footsteps of the Shaitan displaying the attitude of Iblis who said:”I am better than him”, they can Never cause me to feel bad or less than them or not wanting to be Muslim or the Beautiful Human Being that ALLAH, the Most High created me to be. Be yourself Brothers and Sisters and if someone (Muslim or Non-Muslim) have a problem with that, it’s on them not you. yeah it's kinda sad. i used to search for "black mosques" to attend because i was treated like i was unwelcome at other types. but even at a mosque with more/mostly black people, i was still made to feel unwelcome so now i just go to whatever mosque i can get to. to this day, no one has ever even greeted me with or returned salaams at any mosque i ever attended. it's hard cuz i'm the only Muslim in my family and i just want to be part of the community

I am brown, Muslim, a Doctor of Medicine. I took the USMLE exam and I could not pass step 3. Eventually, I returned to Canada to take the LMCCs which I pass and got a job in Saskatchewan I may mention that I did my residency in Family Medicine. Eventually, I called the NY boards asking them to convert my Saskatchewan License to a NY license. But the lady I spoke to asked if I had applied to NY. I told her yes I did apply to NY boards for Licensure. It is quite interesting to note that the lady i spoke to told me that I should come to NY pick up my license and start working as a Physician. The examination Center in Philadelphia issued me a failing score., but sent a passing score to the NY boards. This is willfully failing me when I passed the USMLE. What do you call that racism or a mistake? Thank God for Canada, a fair country. I am still practicing Medicine in Saskatchewan. They were willfully failing people who were brown like me. I am thankful to Allah that I was a Canadian citizen back then. The US is a racist country. but the country is made up of its people. and I know the color of the people who failed me. All I can say is thank Allah for Canada. To my African Brothers and Sisters. do not give up Islam is yours and you would meet Allah, one of these good days. You would be given what is rightfully yours. Allah blesses all of you for your hard work. and faith in Allah. But you can also come to Canada. It is my blessed home given to me by Allah.

Seek comfort in patience and prayer. Allah is truly with those who are patient.” (2:153) “those who observe patience in order to seek the pleasure of their Lord and establish Salāh and spend secretly and openly from what We have given to them, and repel evil with good. Those are the ones for whom there is the ultimate abode” (13:22) Look back To All The Prophets (Peace Upon Them), Theu went through hardship WORST than us... Develope STRONG IMAN And FAITH, If WE WERE TO DIE due to INJUSTICE, Do Not JEOPADISE Your IMAN @FAITH To Be SAVED in TEMPORARY LIFE, Where WE MUSLIMS, BELIEVED, Life in The Hereafter... And how many a prophet [fought and] with him fought many religious scholars. But they never lost assurance due to what afflicted them in the cause of Allah, nor did they weaken or submit. And Allah loves the steadfast.” (Quran, 3:146) By stating “Allah loves the steadfast”, the Holy Quran tells us that by being patient and remaining strong in our faith, we can inshallah be rewarded by Allah in the end. To not weaken one’s faith and to remain steadfast in all the trials we face in this world can be difficult, but as this verse reminds us, we must continue to do so out of our love for God. Now I know the SUNY when they were talk about Africans or African-Americans being Muslim. They always talk about the Fulani, which they were many more tribes than just the Fulani that converted to Islam while in Africa, but they are also talking about a period where the Arabs invaded North Africa and had their kids With them. Now further back, you can look into Somalia and Ethiopia and Yemen to find a lot of roots that found its way into Islam, which says that Africans even without Arab influence, had a presence inside of Islam. So when we are standing as a pillar, and they are thinking that this is something they should be giving to us. Maybe they should be thinking to themselves that this is something thatis not theirs to give to begin with

I almost want to believe that’s not true and how is it even possible to be a Muslim and be racist. But we have so much to work on. We worship our nafs rather than God

It saddens me to hear that a muslim was being discriminated by another muslim. Astaghfiro Allah how can someone be muslim and discriminate against a brother or sister of his/hers in Islam. I ask Allah to give us all good understanding of his teachings and commands.
