What tip do you use to draw straight lines on the TruArt stage 1 kit or for trees?

I like the skew (aka universal tip) for straight lines. It cuts through the grains a bit easier.

My truart pen is a different case, in which only has one pen. and what heat setting would you recommend for plywood?

It depends on which type of wood and what you’re burning. If you want deep texture, a higher heat. If you want to shade an image, lower heat. Make sure to wear a mask or have good ventilation if your burning plywood.

I bought this set.. is it normal that the tip unscrews as you use it? I have tried multiple times and it has done it every time within about 5 mins or so.. not sure what I’m doing wrong? 🤷🏼‍♀

They will loosen as your burning, but that sounds like a lot. Are you left handed? Or are you pushing down hard? If you’re left hand, you may be burning at an angle where it’s loosening the tips excessively.
