Sorry guys, there are seemingly endless streams of Sub-Continental Asians, Sub-Saharan Africans and the mestizo and mulatto peoples of Central and South America waiting to and in the process of REPLACING YOU. Forget lessons from past cycles, in our changed reality they don't apply anymore. Trump, though the better choice, obviously, is unlikely to change this much, but we'll see.

I personally feel the entire industry of trucking is against us. Insurance and agents, then brokers, trying not to pay a decent rate or file frivolous claims from themselves, and not the client. We got hit in the trailer axles on 7/2 we have fought Geico all the way, and we should get paid out this week. , 2 months+ later. Our trucking insurance agent has been dragging his feet on taking a unit off policy for over 2 months, still paying for a unit I can't use. Texas DMV /IRP is trash!!! Drivers want top pay but do really shitty jobs and have to be babysat. I'm over it, I'm over it. I'm over it! I keep telling myself it's bound to get better, we are almost there, and then BAM, there is something else.... If it continues like this for acouple of week I will be shutting down. This is just stupid at this point. Loads posted at $0.75 from FL. Loads posted at $1.25 to florida. Meanwhile TQL: "we dont have enough on this load" Builds $35million new headquarters. People keep saying supply and demand. These broker know exactly what they are doing. This isn't supply and demand. This is Demand and Trucker Stupidty.

The spot market no longer appears to be a sustainable long-term strategy for running a trucking operation, given the significant overhead and expenses involved. I believe that the single or small owner-operator model will gradually fade away, leaving only the mega carriers with the capacity to survive. These large operators can operate on thin profit margins due to their scale, the ability to self-insure, access to an internal network of mechanic support, and their leverage to negotiate fuel discounts and secure predictable contract prices on freight.

The issue is capacity. Once that goes down after the P PP money finally runs out, demand will rise and O/Os will be making money again.

Loads are paying less, brokers paying late, even the brokers that used to pay on time are now paying 15 days late, PLS is the worst one now, I'm still waiting for them to pay me and the invoice is 60 days past due.

The Northeast is a mess. Everyone is waking up 10pm to make 3am deliveries, and every rest area and truck stop is full by 2pm. The pandemic really screwed everything up.

Hmmm I don’t not think we are over capacity in trucks. There is a lot. But, it’s behavior. The load boards are packed with loads. It’s the behavior. Too many taking loads at low rates still. I wonder all the time what drives this acceptances of low rate. Who takes it? It’s simple if it does not move (freight) the rate moves till it does move. It’s behavior in my opinion. Florida for example. The rate is so low. Why because brokers trap drivers in the state. Can’t go south or east or west only north. Your trapped. Take it or leave it. I’m sure they get national rates. Post them low and say take it or leave it. They know we are not united.

We are having a problem getting paid by “factorable” brokers on truckstop. Brokers status change from “approved” to “not factorable” or truckstop takes the money back on the next loads because the broker goes out of business. We lost $8,000 last month because of this. Be careful! Was told brokers are not getting paid by thier customers putting them in a bad situation.

I believe the worst is yet to come. Considering the National Debt being as high as it is, inflation the highest it’s been in a very long time and higher interest rates usually means recession right around the corner. Historically this is the case.

I think in a few years more and more carriers will open their own brokerage companies. Brokers are cutting too much and hiding it. Sooner or later it should end

I began investing in stocks and Def earlier this year, and it is the best choice l've ever made. My portfolio is rounding up to almost a million and I have realized that when a stock makes it to the news, chances are you're quite late to the party, the idea is to get in early on blue chips before it becomes public. Many shippers won’t send loads to spot market. The reason is I KNOW YOU for so many years and I HELP YOU in case of I NEED YOU. Then drop and hook volume…bigger shippers don’t want to deal with negotiations per single load daily… DAT it’s nothing to real rates…I pulled freight for different situations and let’s say a CARRIER/BROKER X will get a lot more per mile and they got to pick the cream of the pie….vs a little carrier that usually in this situation gets crap of crap. So DAT is NOTHING from real rates….nit even close…many times they post rates in favor of brokers…so little carries can start from the bottom of the bottom up a little…. So DAT is cutting the power of a little carrier to negotiate a better rate….plus they are creating the situation of panic…NO FREIGHT….but everyone is moving freight. Just as they do at OIL MARKET….no enough oil …but plenty at pump.

Rate cuts / hikes have a lag usually about 6 months before effects are felt let alone a .25 or a .50 cut wont really do much

Spot market for flatbed always stinks. They are sharks. Cheap cheap freight. Made a change and not dispatching myself and on one of those loads now. I would had never even looked at this load must less booked it. Gonna have to talk to these folks because it’s part of the reason these brokers book these. Insane, 21 years I NEVER ran a load this cheap. Won’t even cover fuel and tolls

I would wait a little now but if you are looking to buy a truck and a trailer from a private seller like an owner operator this will be the best time to get a good price since the market is down.

It’s hard core and cut throat. I’ve only made it because I was careful with what I booked and ran as smart as possible. My point is I’m only holding on because there is no way Harris can win this election if you go off support and talking to people. But it leaves to ask what if Trump? Biden drained our futures with Schumer and Pelosi, Harris. We’re F’d and that’s my point, does it matter? Maybe economic wise WW3 will stimulate the economy and bring sales? Could type all day with an opinion and questions but that’s the main one, does it really matter? Military build up like tanks and ships go from ships to shipyard or rails… If you have a company job that pays the bills honestly I’d keep it and wait

I was looking to get into trucking and a few veterans all said the same thing: Be a company driver first, for at least a year or two, to get a feel of things, then consider being an O/O, but no matter what avoid those lease agreements companies try to sell because they are designed to make you fail. I'm gonna try to sign up for Prime Inc or Stevens Transport in January myself. Megas are always hiring, but they don't pay that well. However, whether its playing professional basketball or driving a truck, no career pays rookies as much as seasoned pros. It's all about paying your dues.

I just tuned in to your live show at the end. Now checking in on this episode , apparently recorded a few hours earlier. So glad I don’t have to concern myself anymore with any of the data you so thoroughly put out to your audience. I just watch you for entertainment purposes (usually). (Hurricane season ain’t over yet, plus you live in “shaky” so platform freight could pick up if one of those disasters happens.) (Or if Commie Harris gets elected she’ll probably get us in a war so that will help your freight sector pick up also😉).
