Great video. I replaced mine twice with non-oem and they both went out. I think they lasted maybe 15-20k miles each. Just bought an oem Mopar one today. Cost over $100 at dealer... but tired of messin' with it. Maybe it'll last. 99 Cummins 4x4 186k, all stock except for lift pump and 285's.

Hi there my 1998 dodge ram 2500 diesel randomly die on the road. I change gas filter, I change the fuel pump and still die. What could it be. We notice, When it die we wait for at least 1 hour then we able to drive again for 5 or 6 hours but if turn the engine off we have to wait 1 hour before turn back on.

Mine is starting to go out. Check engine light came on, had it checked and code was P0336. After that, I noticed my tach go from working fine to dropping to 0 RPM intermittently. I feel like there was a loss of power too when the tach would drop out, but so far it's only been for a few seconds, then return to normal. I've also read that you can have issues starting if the sensor goes out too.

Vggt Fggg yes it can and sometimes if they get bad enough your truck will take a bit to start and will have a lope to it like mine didb

miguel alvarado I have a 98 cummins, speed odometer quit working and the battery light came on, it was the sensor on the rear diff, super simple to change and fixed both problems

crank sensor and the cam sensor are for fueling and tach. I would replace both of them at the same time. vss or speed sensor is for the speedo, on trans or rear diff housing depending on the year and if cab chassis

It's a 12 point bolt head. Just took mine out.

Having the same problem I changed a fuel relay and check engine light went off but at first it was on saying the relay and the crankshaft wasn’t reading at all kinda confused here

most of the oil comes from the front vapor area... the bottle needs empty often!! some never get empty or they delete them... yea a good bath with an low pressure engine cleaner and diesel blasts all this junk off!! you can find those at menards... they work with an air compressor.... so low pressure!! way safer that doing it with a hot water washer....
