R എന്ന അക്ഷരത്തിൽ നിന്നാണ് ആറ് എന്ന മലയാള പദം ഉണ്ടായത് എന്ന് പറയുന്നത് ശരിയാണോ എന്ന് സംശയമുണ്ട്. കാരണം ആറിന് തമിഴിലും ആറ് എന്നാണ് പറയുക.. തമിഴിൽ നിന്നാണല്ലോ മലയാള ഭാഷയുടെ പിറവി 2. കൊട്ടാക്കമ്പൂർ എന്ന സ്ഥലനാമം വന്നത് കൊട്ടാക്കമ്പ് എന്ന പേരിലുള്ള ഒരു തരം കമ്പ് കാണപ്പെട്ട സ്ഥലമായിരുന്നതിനാലാണെന്നാണ് കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നത് (ആധികാരികത ) ജനറൽ ആശുപത്രിക്ക് പോകുന്ന വഴിക്ക് പേരയ്ക്ക വിറ്റിരുന്ന അമ്മച്ചിയുടെ പേര് വീരി എന്നാണെന്ന് ഞാൻ ഓർക്കുന്നു.. ഭർത്താവ് അയ്യപ്പൻ.. കപ്പ കച്ചവടമായിരുന്നു... അവർക്ക് മക്കൾ ഇല്ല....

I think munnar floods happened in 1924 , and railway completed in 1909. Then how come he died in 1906 after floods. I think he died in 1926
