I have two versions of this mto. The upland 79 cap toe, matching tongue, structured toe, Eugene regrind, antique brass, 270 flat welt. 2nd iteration is 6 inch 79, plain structured toe, 270 flat welt, polished brass and Eugene regrind. I’ve found this leather does get a bit more nappy with wear but super durable and definitely completely waterproof.

I still hate speed hooks. They also don't offer the 8" in enough leathers or something and there's no 10" megabuilt ones, but the thing that you never mention is the no tongue guard when you make your own?
