Sometimes finding exactly what I'm looking for on KZbin is enough to make me cry. I found a 2 way sync app for this but I want to do it myself in Make and this is a great way to start.

I totally agree, Todoist's Quick Capture is so much more intuitive! I was able to set up everything up like you explained in the video, thanks! Is there a way to integrate the due date as well? I was trying to find a way, but couldn't figure it out...
@DemetriPanici2 жыл бұрын
You have to pull in the created time from ToDoIst to get it to return a date. It’s not the best dumb tbh.
@corinfairchild Жыл бұрын
@@DemetriPanici If you add a Todoist "Get a Task" as step 2 using the ObjectID from step 1, it pulls in the due date so you can use it later on.

@@saminreysb Include a second module after the inititial Todoist "New Event", select Todoist and then "Get a task". In the Notion module at the end, just set Key e.g."Date", Value type "date" and start time -> select the due date from "Todoist - Get a Task". Worked for me, thank you @Colin!

i could not understand the relation ... when i save todo item, the item is linked to relation database example.. but there i can see too many "side hustle" items in one row!! cant we save in next row so i can devide as per project database like each one for its own database .

hey you said, we can also map label ids, instead of project ids.. but i could not see any label_id something like that in documentation, can u help how to map labels instead of projects? in free plan i only have 5 projects
@Cyterous Жыл бұрын
Amazing. You just gave me an idea to even split it to several aspects and areas (as todoist projects to @thoghts or @ideas > into different Notion DBs) I have actually one question about this flow. how could you make it full sync? I mean, how could you configure that if you complete task in Notion it will also complete it in Todoist? In addition do you familiar with Make automation expert? I would like to take this even future and set that Due dates will auto timeblock this into my Google calendars (depending on the project! because all my areas in life is labels/tags in any program with the same color- which mean : EDU=Green in it's unique calendar, and unique todoist project & unique Notion Tags - that also green ofcurse in every phase. and I want the automation will add the timeblock to this specific calendar and not to some general one). Thanks ahead, great video :)

I just setup a two way sync for myself, its basically all the steps in reverse. Lmk if you still need help with this.

This is great! Thanks Demetri! I am having one issue though. Looks like notion is calling integrations connections now. I did create the Make integration and added the token. When I try to share the task database page though, I can share it with someone via email but I don't see any options for selecting an integration/connection. I tried copying the link to the database but when I run the scenario in Make, it hangs up on creating the database item in Notion due to a "wrong Database ID". Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

@@JPRobertsCreative I'm having this same problem. My notion (free version) did not have the option to select integrations/connections. Like you I skipped this step and I also got an unrecognized database id. How did you end up solving? Are you on the free version as well?
@billbryant78 Жыл бұрын
Also, not sure this matters, but another step I skipped was the Project Switch because there was no Project ID, and now there was an option for Project Name, which I just pointed to directly in my Notion step.
@billbryant78 Жыл бұрын
Nevermind, this is working for me now. I didn't realize that sharing for integrations was relocated to the page level. Once I set that up, I got my first task to come through. Thanks so much for this video, very helpful.

It seems like I can make about 250 tasks with this integration per month which is not alot but I do have quick capture buttons in Notion, I do capture almost everything with Todoist so I can add it later in Notion but having it integrated is much easier
