I did not finish the video so you might get back to the topic but with alcohol markers make sure to use lineart which is suited for them - I would recommend a set of - Ohuhu Fineliner Drawing Pen, 8 Pack - or fine liners from Copic. They have black ones of many sizes or colored ones (8 colors if I checked mine correctly). If you use other brands always test them as they can smudge. You can also try to use erasable colored pencils for sketch, use markers on top and then use whatever fineliner you have which should be hopefully ok with smudges. Good luck :)

I hope you keep making portraits with alcohol markers though I like your technique. I personally don't think you need line art in your drawing I personally like it without it it looks more realistic

Those are exspensive as hell talk about a winning gift and I’ve used cheap in store fine liners before with alchohol markers and they never smudged so I’m confused what have I been doing wrong
