Just make sure you know your temps and speed will be slightly different. It’s a good way to get a general idea but each station is slightly different and the only real way to know what the correct temp / speed will be is from getting familiar with your own station. Experience plays a much higher role vs temps and airflow. Practice makes perfect. His 350 could be your 400 or your 70 airflow could be his 50. ( example )

Temperature in airspeed has always been one of the reasons why I came back to your videos. Knowing what somebody is actually using for their hot air has been very educational for me and my hot air station! I noticed when you stopped doing it and was a little disappointed. Thank you for bringing it back! Please continue doing so!

I had basically the same issue as you on my Xbox One, My HDD would corrupt randomly anywhere from a few hours to a couple days but it would eventually go again, turns out it was the Sata/Power connector to the HDD that was the issue, I had to swap my "Amphenol" branded Sata/Power HDD connector which are apparently poorly made and swap it out for a "Foxconn" Sata/Power HDD connector. I would suggest swapping your Sata/Power HDD connector with a Xbox One (Foxconn one) if you have one spare and test the Console then :) I cant guarantee it will fix your issue but it fixed mine, my Xbox One X has been going strong now since August :)
@LiquidEnvyDundee10 ай бұрын
I had this exact issue on a spares repairs One X a while back. Games would stop installing, everything was sluggish, E101 (or E105, E106) on update. Changing the hard drive connector fixed it. Might be worth a try before it's resold for spares!
@ploggy243510 ай бұрын
@@LiquidEnvyDundee Yeah, I thought the Console was a lost cause but thought I'd give it a shot anyway as a last attempt and ended up working fine! I didn't have a replacement Foxconn connector tho, so I had to cut the power cable from the original broken connector and bodge another HDD short Sata Cable in place of the older Hdd Sata Cable for the console to boot (if that makes sense) :P There's a vid on here that I followed.... I don't know the etiquette of posting a link to another KZbin vid in the comments but I can if it will help another user with the same issue :P (the vid is not mine)

Joey I find it extremely useful that you are providing the heat and air settings of the hot air station. It saves me a lot of frustration as I work on various projects. How about letting us know the solder iron temps you are using too. I'm assuming that it changes based on what you're soldering. Thanks

Intermittent errors are, in my experience, often the result of a faulty power supply. Brownouts are difficult to diagnose because it can affect any component at any time and the only way to be sure is ruling everything else out.

Hey Joey, As far as I remember, Phil had some Problems with the SATA Cable on these Xboxes. So try use a foxconn one... the other brand is always dodgy, he saied. Worth a try I think

Those shoulder buttons are a PITA on the switch and quite often get banged up. I've said no to replacing them before because of the plastic everywhere but you can get a powder (poss gel) that absorbs heat which you can hold on the plastic with Kapton tape. I've seen Tronicsfix use it before on the Switch!

For the usb port change could you remove all the solder like you did but rather than fill the anchor points mount using the pins (or even use something in the 2 larger holes to keep it level. Solder the pins and then fill the anchor points after? I'm not an expert just wondering.

I wonder if the partition problem is because MS have increased the size of the OSU1 install and the on board partition maker is still trying to work on the old install size which is a disparity of couple gigs so it can do folder A perfectly fine but isn't enough room on the partition for folder B to be copied over. I just did it all on my OG Xbox One, the scripts out there to magically make the partitions abounds these problems so after trying god knows how many partition software "free" stuff in the end I just jotted down sizes and partition letter and labels and made them up in Disk Management in Windows. Took OSU1 up the chuff first time round and expecting it to fail at the notorious points and neighbours heard the shout of joy when I got the Xbox One logo come up. Running games like a champ although a weird thing happened with my PC installed Forza Horizon 4, it installed all my PC owned DLC's etc on the Xbox and I was quite happy with that :D

I Can't remember if it was E101 or E200 or similar but if I remember correctly I think the cod3r had a similar issue with a one S. As far as I know the issue he had was that it wasn't updating properly even though the hard drive was good and was ultimately determined that there was a partition on the drive that is married to the console similar to what the SSD's on a series X has. It could be a recent thing that Microsoft has done from newer firmware updates as before I knew this was happening new hard drives could get installed into the xbox one X/S.
