For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. John 3:16-17 Jesus is The Son of God who was sent to the earth from Heaven to die on the Cross to save humans from burning in hell FOREVER. He took the punishment who us who deserve to be punished. So since He died and Rose again, we can now be free from hell and He offers us everlasting life meaning to live FOREVER with Him in Heaven or the New Earth. All we have to do to receive this free Gift is to believe in Jesus, believe in that He died for yours sins and believe that He Resurrected (came back to Life) on the third day. Once you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is LORD you will be saved. (Saved from hell). He is coming soon, tomorrow is not a promise so please dont waste time, put your faith in Jesus while there is still time, so you wont have any regrets. Jesus the Only Way, the Truth, and the Life. Once you have Jesus you have everything you need. You have freedom with Jesus. Besides you can see literally see nearly everything the Bible talks about comes through so why doubt when you can see the Truth unfolding in front of our eyes. If you want to know anything at all regarding Jesus you can ask. God Loves you, Jesus Loves you. jesusonline.com/lp/j1/you-are-loved-ttn-t/?Google&CPC2&You_Are_Loved_KW&gclid=CjwKCAiAqJn9BRB0EiwAJ1Sztf5Ov9O9f3GGWmFPWqBvBDKyX8X9VaJW8i4-f6cjh20VCPZebdwimBoC1EYQAvD_BwE Jesus has changed my life, He answered my prayers, i had been praying for years so I can get baptized and He answered that prayer when the time was right. Both my parent use to drink alot and plus my dad use to smoke cigarettes and I use to suffer because of that my dad has also fall away from his faith at that time but Jesus sent one of His followers to my dads work and then he use to talk to my dad about His life back together with Jesus to build a relationship with Him and that same year around Christmas a bit after my dad got sick and the follower of Jesus prayed for my dad to get better and he did, but while he was sick he did not smoke or drink and even after that he never drink or smoke again Jesus has freed him from that trap which he was in since he was a teenager. My dad has built his relationship with Jesus and now is free of his past and lives for Jesus. After I got baptized I still was not close enough to Jesus but after a few months the Holy Spirit who is living inside me found a way to make me take my relationship with Jesus and I did. Later on I had my final exams and I barely studied, i told Jesus that He is my priority and it my grades doesnt matter however I had faith in that i would pass because of Jesus and when I got result o saw He did not let me down and I pass all my subjects only because of Him. A time I was praying for a job and the week after in church a opportunity came by. I also applied online for jobs and ask my uncle for help in finding one and one day i kneeled down and prayed and within a few minutes to an hour i got a call from my uncle saying he got me an interview and later that day i got a call from one i applied online. The next week i prayed on my knees again to get the job that i applied online for and about 5 in the evening i got a call saying i got that job. Jesus has even given me thing that i didnt praying for because He knows my heart. Everytime i had fallen away (i still do) He always brings me back to Him. He has never failed me and never will. Jesus said if we ask for anything in His Name we will get it.

It is always a blessing to have a Trini restaurant pop up in SoCal, especially when West Indian food is so scarce. Whether people give places like these good or bad reviews, I give props for having our Island food recognized. I've done travelling worldwide and hands down no other national cuisine can touch Trini. This is definitely not the first Trini restaurant in SoCal. There was one called Caribbean Treehouse in Inglewood and there was one in Long Beach called Callaloo. Callaloo still exist but they only do catering. There is also a Guyanese restaurant called Caribbean Haven in Ventura, CA that serves a few Trini dishes but they are mostly a fusion of West Indian and Filipino dishes. Post Covid, take a trip to T'dad, their dishes and delicacies will satisfy every tastebuds known to humanity. Your soul will thank me later.

I just stumbled upon this video, and firstly I love how you say Trinidadian. It's among the most accurate I've heard. I imagine Lisa is cooking with a lot challenges getting the ingredients, so kudos to her to be out there representing! The doubles and roti aren't exactly the way we have it in Trinidad, but I'm sure it's delicious. Doubles is a lot lighter, thinner and roti comes with an assortment of curries that you can fill it with. The channa/chick peas and potatoes aren't cooked in with the chicken, they're a separate side we call channa and aloo, there's also curried mangoes, pumpkin, and so many others. Either way this video makes me proud! Great job, Mia's Kitchen!

I would make one note - the seasoning culantro, which you later referred to as cilantro, they are not the same. Culantro (or chadon beni as it's commonly referred to in T&T) has a significantly more assertive flavour, and is one of the reasons why our cuisine is so different in its flavour profile.

@@RockstarEater Take a trip to NYC (Brooklyn/Queens) to try their Trinidadian cuisine. Good luck to her and her restaurant for putting our food out there...
Compliments to Mia’s Kitchen. I am from T&T. I saw some negative comments. I think that you had a really good representation of Trinidad and Tobago foods. Different cooks have their own twist to making different foods in T&T and that has to be appreciated and what makes us unique. Before a negative comment we should try tasting first. Sometimes cameras don’t give you a good picture. To think you are the only restaurant representing T&T, I would definitely visit if I am in Manhattan. I wish you all the best and great success in your business. YS.

Thank you for featuring Trini cuisine. I am not sure why there is so much of a scarcity of knowledge and restaurants but I hope with more exposure that can change. There are so many more dishes that you also have to consider as well that are influenced by Spanish, Chinese, Syrian, Portuguese & French cuisine. Thanks for your service.

Thanks for highlighting Trinidadian food! I know you’re getting a lot of flak from Trinis because we’re very passionate about our food and Lisa’s isn’t exactly what you’d get in Trinidad. I'm Trini, and have been blessed to travel around the globe and live in foreign lands eating authentic cuisines and experiencing cultures, and definitely...visiting these places you get the original thing. That being said, I appreciate seeing my trini food being showcased out of its homeland and next time I'm in LA I will patronise. However, gotta say... the doubles made me cringe a little as I never saw it look like that and I'll tell you Trinbagonians take great pride in their Doubles! I'm sure it was tasty and thank you for highlighting Mias Kitchen and keep enjoying your culenery adventures! Next step is to go to the original countries!!!

I'm in London. Google Trinidad Roti Sop, they deliver via deliveroo. Also Google Roti King, near Euston Station. Though not Trinis, their roti is so good Trinis buy it. Trini food is a blend of Indian, African, Portugese, and a little bit of Chinese. (Not all at once!) This lady's food is nice, but seems very very basic. The equivalent of a greasy spoon. Tasty, filling but not restaurant takeaway quality.

The recipes are Trini inspired. glad to see she's still striving through these times. good video though, little tip, you can use "Trinbago" too.
