Is no one going to talk about how sweet and comforting Fathoni's voice is? It's beautiful. Honestly he's absolutely stunning too haha. Idk, I hate sprinkles so idk how I would feeel. I'd always had the chalky multicolored sprinkles and always refuse them if given the option. Are chocolate sprinkles different? Are they actually chocolate? Mobina is so sweet and betterl! That toast looks so good! One of my mom's friends when I was little words from Iran and she would something similar to that bread and it was just so good. Unfortunately she moved before we could get the recipe. She's to make that for every day before her kids went to school. Belén's recipe sounds really nice as a nice sweet dessert when you don't want to pull out the stops. Like hell yeah. Bara'a reminded me of my friend Fatima from high school. She seems super sweet too lol. That za'atar toast looked healthy and tasty af. I really want to try labneh balls one day. Adam just really made me smile for some reason. He's a whole snack and a half just like the Vegemite toast haha. Still a bit terrified of Vegemite but we'll see how it goes. I still don't understand what the difference between using Vegemite and like a bouillon paste would be. Thank you Beryl as always for your amazing, amazing videos! Love you.

@Jackson Kamisky I'm gonna say, not all Australians. But also like it's a lot of salt and yeast, it's not for everyone, did you spread a shit tonne on or only a little bit? If you can try it again, having it with cheese dulls the flavour.

I’m a Swede but I find Vegemite such a useful ingredient. It’s basically (very) concentrated umami in a jar, that has another flavour profile compared to say soy sauce. I think with lots of butter and a tiny bit of vegemite on toast is nice. But I found it more useful as mixing into things. I try to cook vegan and vegetarian a few times a week, and vegemite if you dilute it a hit really has this flavour that reminds me of beef gravy, or a roast roast or a beef stew. Like the flavour of beef that has been slowly cooked for a long time and almost fall apart tender. So I’ve used vegemite as the main flavouring together with some oatly cooking cream (and other spices and stuff) and it creates this super delicious vegan gravy. I’ve also used it a bit with meats. So for grilling meats this summer I’ve added a little bit into marinades and things. I’ve also added a bit to my meatballs, you see quite a few modern Swedish recipes for meatballs add a dash of soy sauce to get a umami boost, but I might even prefer it with the Vegemite.

Toast with peanut butter banana sprinkled with cinnamon is my fave sweet toast, probably you can add other things to make it even more decadent. For savoury nothing beats buttered toast on its own or topped with eggs, scrambled, fried poached, all great. Avocado and tomato is always a winner too.

I'm very picky about toast. For a few years, I wouldn't eat toast unless it was toasted at setting two, cooled to room temp, and had salted softened butter spread on it. I still don't like toast where the butter melts onto the bread. I like my toast with room temp butter or avocado (with taco bell hot sauce lol). My absolute favorite is brown sugar toast though. Soften a ton of butter (maybe 1 tablespoon per slice). Add some cinnamon, nutmeg, and some sugar. Grease the other side and toast it cinnamon butter side down on a pan (medium-low) Flip it and brown on the other side. The sugar caramelizes and gets crunchy its so good. I'm a bit of a toast connoisseur.

Here in the US we have a gas station called AM/PM and it was kind of the main competitor to Circle K. When I was younger and spent my nights out with friends and you could come to AM/PM and get 2 cheap hot dogs, or burgers for only a dollar. They had topping available at the counter but they also sold soft serve ice cream with their own topping. My buddy who I though was weird at the time use to put on his cheese burger mayo, ketchup, butterscotch, and candy sprinkles. Sounds gross right, but perhaps he was on to something.

As a german I feel overwhelmed by just trying to think of one toast dish to recommend. First ones coming to my mind is 'strammer max' and 'toast hawaii'. But as i grew up with allot of different culinary influence my favorites must be toasted flat bread with turkish style scrambled eggs and sucuk, souerdough bread with leberwurst spread, pickled cucumber (best cornichons) and then the black bean lao gan ma or the cabbage turnip one. Lao gan ma is also really nice on egg salad on bread. And what my brother and i also loved was souerdough bread toasted with ham and gouda and cranberry jam on top of it.

Ooh how could i forget about the 'Mettbrötchen' it's a breadroll with fresh finely minced pork wich is already seasond. (reallly has to be fresh and eaten the same day) mett is spread on the half sliced roll, then seasond again with salt and pepper (some people add mustard on top of that) and then add sliced onion's. It's actually good if one is willing to eat raw meat :'D

Aaa thank you for the like! ill just put the recipe down here. -Toast 2 white bread, all side -butter the inner part of the toasts and put sugar in it. (for the filling) - eat it either while its still hot orr soggy -secure it in a Tupperware box, and let the steam wet the toasts - I prefer not to eat it while its crunchy! (since this is a lunch box food, we always have it a bit soggy at school, and thats the beauty in it)

In Indonesia, the combination of butter, chocolate sprinkles, and shredded cheese is a very common street food and also sometimes for home made breakfast. I was actually surprised to find out that outside indonesia (or maybe asia?) cheese is not common for dessert. here in asia you put shredded cheese with bread, cake, and lots of desserts

every Aussie spreads their Vegemite differently. Im not a fan of mixing it with the butter until a pale brown smudge is to every corner of the bread. I prefer the artist approach - You chop the butter like thin slices of cheese and place over hot toast letting it melt and pool organically, then apply small doses of Vegemite on the knife and dash it hear and there so as its dotted around the toast, like oil paint on a canvas sitting on top of the butter layer in little dabs here and there, not spread, but dabbed, and never to the corners, you never want to have Vegemite touching dry un-buttered toast, so apply it sparingly to the heaviest layers or pools of melting butter. Its best on a good sourdough, or ciabatta bread, the classic white bread hasn't got the backbone for it. Other great toppings are sliced tomato or cottage cheese, especially cottage cheese on a caraway seed rye sourdough. PS i love the lanbneh toast that's my favorite out of these. thanks for the video !

The iranian toast is literally everything you need in a breakfast dish. You got whole grain bread, protein, fat, calcium and tons of vegetables. We often have tea and some sort of sweet fruit like dates, grapes or watermelon on the side. It's the entire food pyramid in one food.
