Previous times he slacked off was because there were no threats for a long time, this time it’s because he was busy with a single project as Videl mentioned. He still took the time to practice the Special Beam Cannon during that too. He would have to be constantly paranoid of a new threat for fans like you to get what you want.

I heard people say ‘orange piccolo was the worst thing to ever happen’ and it’s like they mad Goku and Vegeta aren’t the only ones with transformations- it isn’t a gatekeeped thing like how dare he finally get his own new form after years come on 💀 Personally, I love piccolo and this new transformation. The symbol on his back is the symbol of the Ajissa tree, which stands for namekian pride. Another theory was that the ‘little extra’ was a gift to him, as the creator of the dragon balls(since he fused with Kami) cause if you realize the color pallet…orange, red, and yellow? It looks like representation of the dragon balls.

I'm not gonna lie with this one. This movie was REALLY good, it was put together really well. My only complaint is that they could've done more with the Gammas 1 and 2. And they could've done more with Beast Gohan, and they also could've just done away with that fat Gotenks and made em the regular Gotenks in Super Saiyan 1 or 3 form against Cell Max. But other than that, the movie was really good and I actually got to watch it in the theaters the day it first came out on theaters.

In that he figures out everything about energy and publishers a book called GROUNDBREAKING SCIENCE! that explains everything about ki to the rest of the planet. Which in turn is based on an award he has on his desk in the very end of Z. So i STAN this moment as a Gohan fan. As well as him discovering every and the horizontal lines shown when he saves Krillin at the last second against the bird man. Confirming he mastered Instant transmission as well. Because he's not dumb enough to come over the top against flyers since it's his strategy to stay low to the ground. Tiny little things like that. I mean to be fair he should have learned that in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber way back in the Cell saga. But at least he finally learned it. Just used it twice though. Useless. In earlier peaceful times like the 7 years and the time skip after Buu, he learned nothing. But in the time after ToP he decided to learn this technique. I felt it showed that he had some awareness of a potential threat and be ready.
