That's cool! TSPROF has an Axicube One that sticks to the rack in the same way, but on the side opposite to the angle adjustment knob. Not available in the US yet..

Thanks brother, I’m sure this way is much more affordable and readily accessible! There’s plenty that I love about this system but finding the angle is definitely annoying, it’s not “difficult” its just a nuisance so anything to simplify it is appealing to me!

So I just tested this and the angle is correct, but I'm not exactly sure what the point is? You can already do the same thing with the way TsProf outlined in their instructions.

Yeah I’m aware of that I just thought it was a cool option because with it out of the way, you can continue sharpening without removing it if you wanted. 🤷🏻‍♂️

If you used a kadet pro it would make sense to you. The way you use the angle cube with this sharpener is definitely odd at first. Much different than a KME or KO3 due to the fact the blade tilts and the guide rod stays at the same height. What I did here actually simplifies the process and makes it less inconvenient.

@@BLADESANDFADESOFFICIAL I do have the Kadet Pro and the same angle cube. I zero out on the base, zero out on top of the sharpening rod, place on top of the back plate to get my angle, then done. I used the thickness compensator from then on when changing stones. Pretty simple.

I don’t understand why they want you to zero the guide rail then the clamps. What happens if the guide rail is not perfectly level. ?? Shouldn’t you zero the base then the clamp??

It doesn’t work the same as a kme. The angle adjusts by the table moving so the base is never level with the clamp. The guide rod height also has like a half inch of adjustment for different stone thicknesses so there’s way more going on!

@@j.g.2825 because that’s essentially your “base” and the clamp is what is moving. Hope that helps!
