I've the 18 inch alloys setup but will switch to meteor 17 inch in the rear. Hope will get a buyer for the rear one.

If we put 17inch alloys in the front, there will be a slight error in the speedo reading right? Because the speedometer is actually calibrated according to the stock 18inch wheels right?

I put company alloy on my interceptor and stock tyre size with MRF ZAPPER y TUBELESS. PLEASE TELL THAT IS WEIGHT BALANCING IS MUST BEFORE IN ALLOY BEFORE

All the Duke and RC models made in India come with rear rims that are 4.0 inches wide and shod with 150/60R17 tyres. Also, I think the Meteor 350's rear wheel now costs 7800. According to one video, RE jacked up its price some time this year. This needs to be verified.

Is there is some difference in the latest one because tyre looks wider with ktm alloys and at the time of purchasing these alloys i have checked with RE price was 6000 for meteor rim

@@iamsumitbeniwal Not sure about the latest lightweight alloy wheels from KTM if they are more than 4" wide but the old ones were definitely 4". From what I understand, 4" is the lowest limit for a 150 section tyre which explains your observation. Even on a KTM, the stock 150 section tyre is all tread and very little sidewall. As for the Meteor rim, if it is still 6k then that's good. I heard in one KZbin video that it is now 7800. At least it is a cost effective option at 6k. I will also go and check one of the service centres in Noida on Friday and check the price.

@@iamsumitbeniwal Such a huge difference is unlikely. Either that guy got ripped off or it was a different part number. Perhaps he got something else done too and counted that as well. I will check at my local service centre on Friday. If the price is 6k for the Meteor 350 then that video was an anomaly. Let's see.

bhai mera sawaal tha ki meine nayi wali gt li hai rocker red jo facelift wala vairent jisme led headlight aur switches changed hai toh usme tube tyres h lekin vredstien ke hai toh kya mei unme sirf alloys dalwa skta hu? tyres jo hai wo company wale hi rkh kar kya wo vredistien ke tubeless support kar jayenge?

@@ronitdhankar3913 1.) those are not tube tyres those are infact tubeless and 2nd yes just go ahead put the alloys directly fit will work

It will be improvement over your current setup for sure , only thing is that there will be spoke wheel at front and alloy at rear .. mismatch type

brother I have gt thinking to change my spoke to alloy 18 inch, but is there any change in stability or riding? Because I'm confused rather I should change my tyre or total wheel. have duke 390 with apollo h1 that one is awesome but not so good experience with this Ceat zoom tyre. Let me know If I need to upgrade the rim or just I can use vredestein centauro with my spoke to get better experience.

Alloys wheels in 18 inch will give more stability and bike will feel lighter hence faster acceleration and mo change in mileage and ground clearance but with 17inch and apollo alpha h1 tyre you will get more confidence in high speed stability but ground clearance will take a hit and then you have to make some arrangements for the front wheel also , triumph thruxton uses 17inch and that is the pinical of cafe racer . Conclusion 17 inch tires is the most performnce oriented option if done right, but 18 inch with alloys will give you both efficiency and some performance.

Yes it will work , but keep one thing in mind price difference is very less in terms of going with 17inch alloy instead of 18inch and 2nd many people who initially went with this exact setup reverted back to 18 after some time. My suggestion get some feedback from someone who has done 17inch setup, rest it will not cause any issue with motorcycle as such..

Can you tell the tyre serial no for 18inch alloy at rear end under 140 or 150 section as i want a bit broader tyres and tubeless ones

@@priteshdutta4567 check my community post i have shared the invoice, second I would not recommend 140 or 150 in 18 inch as it will make your bike sluggish when leaning and turning as rotating mass will increase dramatically.

bhai agar 17 inch meh Verdestein kha 150/70 r17 use karogye tho speedo error nhi aaegya aur uski height bhi approx. same rahegyi . 150 /60 r17 meh kafi speedo error h aplha h1 meh

Ceat zoom cruze is not tubeless..its tube type.. So if we upgrade rim to alloys..centuro is only option

No , current gen CEAT is also tubeless, only thing is its not available in the open market yet , so you have to buy it from RE service centre

@@iamsumitbeniwal I got the alloys ..now searching for tyres ..centuro St set is costing 15k a set online and ceat there is no option present if it comes in tube less Service centre in my city is pathetic.. No hope from them...

Great compilation of tyre options for the 650s. Where did you get the rate for Verdestein tyres? From TorqueBlock here I've heard it is 15k for a set. Also Dismotec rims are not good at all, check Avishek Lama's videos on it, very poor quality.

Also, even the Pirellis you mentioned the price is just for a rear tyre I believe. Not a set

Vredestian is only available from RE SERVICE centre, check my last video Also regarding dismotech only Mr. Avishek lama review is bad rest what i have seen is they are good from other people on KZbin, but still I haven’t used one so can’t say for sure, still my recommendation is stick with OEM 18inch as now tyres and alloys are available.

​@@alvesbenny5Torque Block's prices are high. I once bought an Apollo Tramplr XR for my Duke's rear wheel from them for 7500. A few days later I asked, out of curiosity, at an Apollo dealer and they quoted 6200.

@@twowheeledparadox yep I just verified with an authorizer RE part dealer in Bangalore, and the Verdestein tyres in their catalogue comes to around 8.5k like Sumit mentioned in video. Torque block is basically charging double!! (ig RE has tie up with Verdestein so they get it cheaper)
