You know Toyota has the best brake system ever. I remember back in 1988 a coworker was needing his front pads changed and didn't have a clue how to do it. Like you Terry, I've been working on vehicles since my teens, but I'd never done any Tacomas before. I changed his in the parking lot at work and wasn't more than 30 - 45 minutes. I like Toyota's dual piston action on both sides of the rotors. You don't find that in Fords and Chevys.

My dad is a Toyota fanatic. He currently has two tundras, two corollas and a Camry. Buying genuine Toyota parts at the dealership’s parts counter are actually competitively priced with the premium parts at Advance Auto and Oreilly.

That’s a lot of Toyotas lol. Will have to check on the pricing. Terry

Have y’all had to change the timing belt on that Tundra yet? My dad has that same year model, basically the same truck and the timing belt has never been changed and it just turned over 100,000 miles. His friend who is a technician at our local Toyota dealership told him he needs to change it soon.

No we have not. Might need to look into that soon. Those belts break and your stuck! Ask me how I know lol. Terry

Even electricians follow the shade tree credo... when in need, the closest tool becomes a hammer!

I actually plan to throw the tundra brakes on my Tacoma for a little modification. Btw how are the houses coming along?

Hey John. The houses are currently footings and foundations. Lol. We have a lot going on but hope to start building soon. Terry
