Its not $2k for the tune bud... It was 2k for everything, including Flashpro... Either way, these new cars suck(and I have an Fk8 and new Type S)... I prefer my dc5, dc2, and S2k all day... Cant stand the direct injection either. Now, if the Type S and Type are were high 30's from Factory, that would be reasonable. But these cars are still going for close to $60k in a lot of places. Not even close to worth it. You could build the most insane street/track setup in an old chassis, with a better motor(old K24/20) and add all the creature comforts if you wanted to, that would make it more modern.. And you would still be under the MSRP of these new Honda's... For comparison, I make between 500-800whp on my AWD Dc5(depending on Turbo and Fuel Im using), and I have the best of the best everything, I have adaptive Bilstein Suspension that controls dampening and ride height remotely. I have electric AC and PS. Car is fully sound deadened and reclipped, so no drone or rattling in-cabin. I have valved exhaust.. Got fully built k20/24 motor and fully built PPG transmission... Can the Type S/CTR run an ethanol blend with the stock fuel system? I have the ‘22 WRX and we can also get ~320whp from a stock car tuned on 93 octane, but I got 360whp with an e60 tune on my otherwise stock car, and now I’m making 383whp/415ft-lbs with an intake and upgraded top mount intercooler. My total spent for the Accessport, etune, intake and intercooler was $1805. Just making conversation btw. Not coming here to say my car is better. I wish I could have cross-shopped a CTR but I live up in the mountains where we get lots of winter weather.

The Civic Type R can run an ethanol blend up to about e25-e30 before maxing out the stock fuel system using a Plug and play flex fuel kit that costs about $500. My Civic Type R made about 390 WHP 415WTQ on an e25 blend using a prl flex fuel kit. If you want to run higher ethanol content, there are obviously fuel system upgrades out there that allow you to run higher percentages of ethanol, but as far as I'm aware you can never run pure e85, it's always some sort of mixture.

I've heard you want to keep the torque lower (below 450) in the lower rpms, other than that there are some people running some pretty impressive numbers on the stock block. 400-700 horsepower is relatively attainable. The problem with these cars is putting that power down to the ground in some conditions, especially first and second gear lol.

@sloth4urluv9 ай бұрын
Hondata should be the first power upgrade. I have a Type R instead of the Type S but they are really similar. If 1st gear is too much you can very easily just copy over the torque target tables from comfort or copy the tables into excel and with some basic math blend between them by a desired percentage. For example on my car I kept comfort stock and put sport halfway between stock and +R.

There are no amount of videos that can convince people that the idea of paying an additional $2000 to overwhelm the front wheels with more understeer, more wheel hop, and more unusable power is a good use of $2000. Keep the engine power stock and drive the car for what it’s meant for, which is to experience high levels of grip and balance in a FWD vehicle. FWD drivetrains have serious performance limitations that some of you are paying more money to magnify. Adding more power will counteract what Honda/Acura engineers set out to accomplish in the first place. Appreciate the engineering marvel and accept the reality that “you’re not that guy pal” 😂

317whp for just a 2k tune? damn, not worth it at all. Golf R gets 400whp with just a $500 tune

Hondata isn't worth it because Ktuner and phearable stage 2 off the shelf tune gives you way more power for only like 750$. Yeah....let that sink in.

That power curve from the new tune looks terrible it falls on its face after vtec hits.

I just hate how they did the car man. Looks nothing like the old versions and its way bigger. It's like a reworked tlx... Just a tlx with a very slight facelift and a hatch.

imagine spending 2k for 29/25 hp/tq. spend 2k on a b58 and you'll get over 100/100 0_o.
