Turbo 331 88mm 6 Speed 93 Mustang In-Car Track and Street Vids

Shakedown passes with our 93 6 speed coupe. Brought the car out on low boost, tune was still rich and was also running out of gear. Car will be back out soon with different gears & more boost, we want to see how fast we can go with this thing on the stick! Driven by SB.

Nice car mate love the engine. You do well to handle that. I think people forget to having to keep the car straight as poss while changing gear and with that power it's a challenge to keep these sort of cars straight on a strip anyway. Would like this engine set up for a car I'm building how much am I looking for this setup mate and what heads you got on it also. Cheers phil

what these people don't understand in you have a wider RPM range with a manual and with an auto it's going to take a nasty converter to be able to bring the rpm's up, probably making this car unable to be street driven. Keep the stick, way cooler than an auto anyway

fastest I've managed was 11.2 @ 128 in the STi before selling it now i'm building a fox body coupe and yes, I've been in a few 10 and 11 sec auto cars and the feeling is just not there... feels dull and boring even if you do get a fast ET it just doesn't match the excitement of banging the gears yourself

with that much power, speed or power shifting will wear down all those parts inside the gear box no matter how tough it is built. Clutch and flywheel to as well. Another problem is with that much power shifting way to fast will get that car out of control pretty dam crazy or he will have to abort another pass and get eliminated. To me I think he is shifting the very best with a stick and a turbo powered motor.

It's not a lack of skill, it's a Synchro box not a Pro Shifted box so he basically has to let up or risk breakage at that power level. Remember, it's not the power all the time, it's the hit, shock of the clutch against the gears that causes breakage. There is no fluid cushion as in an Auto, it's a direct line from engine to rear.....
