I get wanting to get it going and driving as fast as possible to enjoy the hard work. However, there is a reason Brent is tuning that in a fire suit, coolant and fuel are not to be messed with. Not only do you not have a firewall, but you don't have an extinguisher near the car/dyno at all. Driving the car around without firewall or fire suits, and you are more likely to end up in a situation needing that firewall and fire suit than being on a dyno, and yet, this is when you guys are wearing the least protection. Those suits literally are there just to give the enough time to get out of the car after you are engulfed in flames, because you are likely unable to survive long enough without it. OR the worst situation, you get sprayed with ignited fuel, and your clothes are now the fuel, where as a fire suit wouldn't be. Get a firewall in the thing and quit playing poker.
@BobMonkeypimp

KaterTot, I love it bro! I had the exact same problem with my 38mm wastegate and I ended up shooting for the moon with a 60mm Turbosmart Powergate. Same thing with my injectors, I had 1000cc FID injectors and ran out of fuel at 485 whp on E85 with my base fuel pressure set at 75 psi, so I solved it once and for all and bought Gates 2200cc injectors, then I had an issue with my AEM fuel pressure regulator, so I got an external Aeromotive 13109b, and then my fuel filter wasn't good enough, so I bought a Fuelab 6 micron filter, then my Walbro 450 lph fuel pump started running out, so I installed a Walbro 530lph Hellcat pump and I also rewired and relayed it...whew! Now, my fully built LSVTEC made 612 whp and wouldn't make any more because the Garrett GTX3582R has a .82 AR exhaust housing, so I bought a 1.06 exhaust housing for it. This year, I'm hoping to be able to at least make a few runs, but who knows...

This opened my eyes a bit. Having not messed with VTEC much at all. I always had the assumption that VTEC made a "Good" engine only good up top. That curve where the VTEC didnt roll in made a lot of sense to me. My current daily has the J35 Honda V6 in it and its a complete fucking dog till the VTEC system crosses over. Seeing the graph and listening to a Honda tuner and a V8 Tuner talk back and forth made it all that much more valuable to me. Thanks P.S the J35 is in my 03 Odyssey. That van has no business handling as well as it does.

Some of the VTEC cam profiles are designed for efficiency not power. They use three different lobe shapes. The 2 outside low cams are different so it runs as a 1 valve head, then VTEC kicks in an locks onto the high cam to open both intake valves. The performance VTEC setup run the low cams the same for bottom end power the the high cam locks in for weeetec. LoL

you could make a bucket that can be filled with ice. connect a drier hose to it and zip tie the outlet of the hose to the fan. leave the top of the bucket open. it will cool the air that is blowing into the intercooler and give you more realistic cooler air instead of the air that is sucking in from the fan that is on top of the car that has the engine right under it.

Lol this made my day, but honestly, those fwd honda guys (i mean the guys with a higher horse power honda, not those ricers with stock 100hp civics) do it because it doesn't have any grip in the first gears. The moment you shift it to a higher gear, the tires will suddenly have grip and you are out of boost. I hope this made sense lol. I think for a rear wheel drive car like this, it wouldn't make sense to rev limit it.

Back in the late 70s and early 80s when I used to run some hot rods at the track,I was told by an old-time racer from the 50s and 60s AFTER ASKING HIM ("Whats the difference between HP and Tourqe"?) this is what he told me,and this adage holds true 2 this day and is simply this; "TORQUE GETS YOU THERE, AND HORSE POWER KEEPS YOU THERE" ITS JUST THAT SIMPLE... The more torque will accelerate you harder and at it's peak the HP takes over and maintains the speed that torque and gearing bring you too. So basically you can't have too much when combined together, but you can screw up the end result if you concentrate on one vs.the other.

Watching two tunergeeks tune out and geek out is awesome. IM curious on why you guys haven't gone back to Colorado. I think you like geeking out down there in Florida. You've been down there over a month.

when you buiild the division between the intercooler and the engine add some heat insulation on or under it. gold reflective sheet under it and heat insulation over it like a firewall in a car. i woulld also add some on the top portion because florida gets hot and the top cover over the intercooler will cook under the heat and radiate onto the intercooler. or paint it with something that will allow the heat to bounce off of it and not absorb it like black does.

The gearing and tire size combination you have is perfect for the power to weight ratio power band. put some sticky tires of the same size but wider insane fast!

What I have always liked about the 352 FE Ford engine. Most under rated torque engine throughout the RPM range. Not excessive horsepower , but made it up in torque.

Theres a couple ways to do antilag, hell...one of em is to literally make the exhaust manifold an extra cylinder. (Thus the machinegun sound)

yeah probably end up pulling a fair bit out of it for first and second.. but it's down to how usable you want it... I think this is new territory for a lot of people because dyno time is expensive we dyno motorcycles so this is super interesting to watch
