Turbo replacement on 2015 Kia Optima 2.0

You didn’t have to take nothing out the bottom of the engine to get turbo out ?

I would have enjoyed the video if you would have stuck that big contraption in that little hole. I am assuming you have to remove the turbo and the regulator from the manifold to install it. I can't find a video anywhere of someone putting one in the only take it out. To make it worse, my driveshaft is right above my oil tube and it will not allow me to remove the tube. I assume in this situation I need to cut the stud off enough to remove it? Your video was not helpful at all. JS

@@SLAYNE999 sorry man if my video didn't help you because I make it so short, not enough information but for me, I have to remove the engine mount and the passenger passenger side and I pulled in a little bit that's why make it easy for me to pull turbo assembly

So once the turbine or propeller has become loose, there is no retightening it and it being ok? You have to replace? If that is the case it will be the 2nd turbo that was replaced in this car, so what happened to mine was I was entering the freeway and when trying to get up to speed I noticed the car would not get up to highway speed or it took a long long time and I had angry drivers behind me ... I pulled over immediately noticed the whining sound and couldn't do much more so I just drove it home and went easy on it. Got home and pulled it apart and noticed a small nut to a screw that was up in the air filter box and was like hmm what the heck, finally got down to the propeller and the nut to keep the propeller on and tight had simply unscrewed and shot up into air box, I was able to reinstall the nut, I wasn't able to get it a tight snug because the propeller spins as your tightening . So am I able to re-tightwn the nut and the turbo will once again be fine or is that a definite replacement?????

When a turbo gets slop in it it’s from the bearings being bad you can replace the bearings and the impeller but most people won’t they just swap out the whole turbo don’t think they sell rebuild kits for them so you would have to spec out the bearings needed and you’d have to find somewhere to get the impeller as well

@@jamesabarela sorry for responding back late. my case my turbo was running dry from the oil because it was plugged with the sludge of oil. that's why making the propeller loose and the bearing wants bad

How do you take out the old one mine gets jammed every where 😅I need help

You have to separate it it will come out easy
