Thanks for jumping in Now......I would have panicked and visited Way Too Late, to save me time. I got 2 gallons of Homemade Chicken Stock on my Stove Right Now! Also, found Beef Shanks and Assorted Beef Bones in my Freezer.....let's do this again for Beef Stock for Christmas 😉 You Rock!

Use a dark stock or broth - brown chicken, turkey or veggie stock or broth would do the job.

The longer you cook the roux before adding the stock the darker it becomes. Just keep whisking so it doesn’t burn.
