I never tire of a sandwich-adoration video. Honestly, I could watch an entire food show that was nothing but sandwiches, all day. Why is this? I don't know.

Ranch that doesn’t use packaged mayo??? Time for me to try ranch for the first time in my life!
@englishatheart Жыл бұрын
Ranch tastes nothing like mayonnaise, so disliking mayo is a silly reason to not try it. Same with tomatoes and ketchup. I love mayo but am not big on Ranch. I love tomatoes but don't like ketchup.

I adore Cypress Grove and Humboldt Fog is my fave. I live in Humboldt and we have it in every store here. It's still cool to see it nationwide. That sandwich sounds spectacular.

I first tasted Humboldt Fog at a restaurant. Love it, have a wedge in the 'fridge right now. Plan to use it on a Spanish dish of fried eggplant, drizzled with honey then topped with crumbled goat cheese. Yum.

What's with all the anti-mayo I've seen recently? I love mayo. Use it all the time. For well over 50 years. And I couldn't be happier for having done so.

Made in Cypress Grove, CA. It's a lovely family operation and the best cheeses. Chips in the sandwich is the love level for certain. Crunch, zesty, sparkly and fine!

I always think of ranch dressing as the first cousin of sour cream and onion dip -- love, love, love both. Slaw and turkey is one of nature's great combination. (I also chose slaw on my homemade crispy breaded chicken thigh sandwiches. Thank you for the video as we can never have enough M-to-F lunch sandwich ideas. Is it possible to do an episode of making your ranch powder? It is not available in Canada, even Costco, which sells H.V. dry powder won't bring it into Canada.

Concept: Ranchos - nachos but make it ranch. Kettle chip base, secret ranch, Humboldt Fog chunks, crumbled bacon, green onion, pickled jalapeños or pipparas.

My supermarket sells Humboldt Fog and all other expensive cheeses in small wedges of various sizes, so it doesn't break the bank. And there's always a little basket filled with $5 cheese samples.

@@CarlaLalliMusic123 A little goes a long way with this cheese because it has so much flavor. The piece I have is 0.19 lb, but it's earmarked for that eggplant. I'll make that ranch dressing with the next wedge. It sounds delicious

As someone who isn't big on Ranch and who's seen others express dislike for it, there's definitely Ranch haters out there. 😛 I don't hate it, I just don't often use it, and when I do, I usually mix it with other condiments or sauces. This looks yummy though. 🙂

Josh Scherer of mythical kitchen had a Humboldt Fog ranch recipe from 2017... I guess his wasn't secret though. Humboldt Fog Ranch 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley 1/4 cup chopped fresh chives 1/4 cup chopped fresh dill 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar 1 minced garlic clove 2 teaspoons kosher salt 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper 1 cup mayonnaise 1/2 cup Greek yogurt 1 cup buttermilk 8 oz Humboldt fog cheese 1) Combine all ingredients into food processor. 2) Process. 3) Eat with spoon until gone.

My very first interaction with a cheese monger (and one of the few surprise social interactions I didn't hate) was a worker at our local grocery store calling me over to hand me Humbodlt Fog on an Effie's Oat Cake biscuit and topped with a dried tart cherry. Unfortunately, I was already married at the time :( (jk just another cheese story! yay, humboldt fog!)

so far the funny comment was about children eating the rind of a bloomy (blooming) cheese. as a cheese lover, I'm always wondering, can I eat this rind or not? I tend to take a bite (as long as it doesn't appear to be wax) and feel happy when the cheese is edible... lol (only partway through but writing so I don't forget this)... I'm also fully on the bandwagon about putting chips in your sandwich. not that I've tried (bc I was concerned about condiment/sogginess) but I used to layer mcdonalds fries in my hamburger bc I thought that crunchy texture (they were not going to get soggy in that dry hamburger) and saltiness complemented the sandwich/burger.

OM Goodnes‼️Humboldt Fog costs 32.99/lb ‼️Delish on a cheese Board. BUT… Regular Goat cheese is an absolute better choice in this recipe (5.99/lb) Whatever subtle notes in HF that exist, are lost to/unneeded with the ACTUAL green herbs in this recipe, and the buttermilk seasoning, not to mention the other ingredients. Plain Goat Cheese, or Feta can be used. As can Cottage Cheese or Cream Cheese, or Brie, etc, all having different levels of TANG. A basic Blue Cheese also is great, and is classic with Turkey (ever heard of Cobb Salad?). SOOO…………This recipe recommendation seems truly market/advertiser led, clearly not just ‘sponsored’. Proven by the fact that no alternatives to the cheese were suggested, and therefore, one might find that to make this less than a trustworthy recipe. Disappointed.
