Looks good thx for posting, I am working on a similar project. A personal preference if you will, I would have completed the side trimming first and then overlayed the poplar chevron boards on top of the trim. This way you would not see the trim when you look at the door. I personally think it would have looked much nicer that way, but I’m just being picky. Just an idea.❤ from Texas!

Very nice. I am about to do something similar so I watch a lot of videos and your video was very informative. What did you do for the other side of the door? Did you fill the hole where the knob was or are you using that hole as a recessed handle to open and close the door from the inside?

Love it!! Great job! My pets would be accessing the bathroom all the time, if I put that on the bathroom door!! But I want one for a cupboard, to save the door opening out.

Did you have to make the door taller in order to make it fit now that it was hanging?
@nnaheim.2 жыл бұрын
Yep I did, just added 2" strip to the bottom

Thank you for your video. We're looking at doing something similar. Did you do anything on the other side of the bathroom sliding door? Was your interior door hollow or solid? Did you have guides on the floor or bottom of the door so it wouldn't swing out?

Did you add any height to the door? Others are saying the door needs to be taller
@gonsteadchiropracticclinic56812 жыл бұрын
I don't see if he extended that poplar beyond the original door length. But it looks like there's maybe 1 to 2 inches where he could have backed out that bracket closer to the top of the door. I suppose you could also remove the top piece of trim on the jamb and mount the track there so the door would still reach the floor

Wood putty, sand paint, rinse repeat, or you can replace entire casing not easy or cheap and risk damage to walls around requires more patches, more paint and more time.

There is no explanation on how the door was lengthened. One can only assume there is at least a four inch space at floor level.
