New subscriber here. Man, I find your tips are so relevant with my experiences on my home lake. I’m in North MS, fishing Bay Springs and Pickwick. I fished hard yesterday and caught 31 crappie, none of which made it to the live well. I had fun but knew I was missing a piece of the puzzle. I did try some deeper brush piles and they looked loaded with fish (don’t have live sonar) but couldn’t get bites, even with minnows. I think I’m in that two week “funk” period you describe. I’m 50 but still ever learning. Thanks man… keep em coming.

Before we had electronics, bridge fishing is how my family ALWAYS fished for post spawn crappie other than places like obvious flooded timber in 6-7+ feet of water or where we had known brush piles. Bridges first, everything else if that didn't work. The problem with the flooded timber is the obvious danger. Not smart to do it in some places under less than ideal conditions, meaning ANY wind or if the water is a little high and some of those trees are not exposed. Slow, grueling, sometimes sphincter puckering process. Especially in the old riveted boats we were in. On some lakes, the bridges are simply the best bet. Unfortunately, around here, everyone and I mean everyone, does it now!

@@TurnerFishingg I was going to say dog days of summer but you beat me too it, because I can't stand to fish in the winter. I caught quite a few smalls puttering around docks this morning after it started to heat up. Biggest one was right around 10, which is a typical nice size on the lake I was on, but most were dinks. 12 is an absolute slab for that lake lol, but you can usually get at least a half dozen or so fairly easy over a couple hours if you are persistent. They just aren't quite in those spots, there yet . I'm sure I could have done better on the better lake, but I was worried about the weather and longer boat ride.

Just a tip for you, as someone who does professional editing, you should do less of you cleaning your boat and more talking about what your video is actually about. We get it, you want to add length. But just get to the point my dude. Overall thought on the advice, its a great video. Good job
